Detailed reviews

Anonymous5.0 / 5 ·

Nic planned and provided an electrical supply to my new garden building. This included bringing the supply into the building from the main fuse board, fitting an individual fuse board in the garden room, creating lighting and supply circuits and fitting led ceiling spot lights, all power sockets, including WiFi sockets and phone charging sockets along with external sockets to the building. Nic also fitted external lighting to the building and supplied certification for the job. The work was completed to an extremely high standard and very clean. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Nic to anyone.

Called Nic to come and check some electrical work installed by another tradesman which I did not feel was correctly done. After a thorough safety inspection and testing of the electrical system in my home it was agreed to upgrade the consumer unit and bonding. Nic was very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. He was here for a couple of days and did a very proficient job. NIEIC installation certs and Building regulation certificate of Compliance have been received. Can’t thank Nic enough for putting my mind at rest knowing that work is completed within the electrical regulations

Nick was as efficient in this job as he was previously. He turns up when he says he will, gets straight on with the job and, although I knew it wasn't a big job, I was still surprised when he was done inside an hour. All completed and left tidy.

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
