He said it would take 4 weeks and took exactly 4 weeks. Absolutely no problems at all, the trader was with us rain or shine, and they were a delight to have around. I can not fault them at all. They installed a rear dorma loft conversion on my house and these traders were completely and didn't cause me any dramas, can not recommend highly enough.,

Alveston are honest, efficient and nice bunch of lads. Any issues were resolved to our satisfaction and many minor changes were accommodated without complaint.

We've just had our loft conversion finished. After a kitchen extension that went badly a few years ago, we wanted quite a big company for our loft so we weren't reliant on subcontractors and the builders' cash flow. Had a few quotes but liked Jamie's enthusiasm and vision so we went with Alvaston. Maybe could have got it cheaper from a small outfit but we wanted someone that does this day in day out. There was a bit of a waiting list which is a good sign, but we had contact throughout when we needed it. We built our loft during the depths of winter so I was worried about water damage, but despite a couple of gnarly storms, we had absolutely no issues at all. All the crews were professional and seemed really good at what they do. You can tell they take pride in their work and were happy to offer suggestions/tweaks based on their experience which we were largely happy to take. They were working from 8 o clock every day they were on site. We had a bit of a pause mid-way through our build due to Covid and Christmas, but it was left in a wind/watertight state and being on the floor above it didn't get in our way at all. It's a big project so there was mess and noise as you'd expect, but they always did their best to clean up at the end of each day which was appreciated. A messy week or two while getting the stairs in and knocking through, but you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs as they say. Jamie the owner was always responsive if I had any questions or concerns.

Had my loft converted and from start to finish the team was amazing! Nothing was ever too much hassle for Jamie and if there was any issues or questions he would come round the same day to answer any questions we had. Brilliant work and so happy with the ensuite. If I was to ever have work done again I'd 100% go to Jamie! He is trusted and the work is second to none.

Our loft conversion with Alveston was finished at the start of this year, and I would fully recommend them. Their quote was comparable to the other companies, but we decided to go with Alvaston because they had had great reviews and Jamie is personable, knowledgeable and experienced. We received design drawings with all the measurements and plans for two possible options with our loft, which were very useful. Jamie kept us informed of when they were likely to be able to start the work, and when our date came round the whole process ran extremely smoothly. We were told when the scaffolding would be up, and the port a loo and skip, and what time the builders would arrive. What I especially appreciated with this company was that it was a seamless process; because they have teams to do the build, a plumber, electrician, roofing team, plasterer etc. as soon as the main build was done, the plumber was already booked in to do the next part, and likewise with the electrician. It was so well organised. The finish of the work is exceptional and the new stairs up to the loft room look like they were always part of the house (Alvaston also make their own stairs so they fitted perfectly). All of the tradesmen were professional and super helpful (e.g. when I couldn't decide over a multitude of bathroom options), they also flagged up issues as they found them and offered to fix if we wanted (e.g. a channel on our roof that was disintegrating - they replaced this while the scaffolding was.
