AM builders completed a number of jobs at my parent's place including a brand-new kitchen, reinforcing a party wall, electrics update, and basement damp proofing with a number of other jobs. Throughout the various projects, Jimmy and his team were professional and efficient. They found solutions to challenges and we felt our home was in good hands. Fantastic company. I would have no hesitation at all to recommend AM Builders. They recently completed a full refurbishment of our property in East Ham and the project was completed to an incredibly high standard. They stripped out the house, re-plumbed, re-wired, fitted a new boiler, repaired damage to the walls, refit a brand new kitchen and bathroom, plastered all walls, repaired the guttering, fit new flooring throughout, insulated the loft, took care of repointing and decorated to a very high standard. When we met with them to discuss the project they straight away they gave us new ideas and spotted things that we were unaware of. Throughout the process they were very communicative and kept us in the loop, spotting any issues early on and either advising us or going ahead with our requests as and when they came up. The team are highly skilled and very efficient, the project was actually completed slightly ahead of schedule which has hardly ever been the case in my experience. Jimmy always puts the customer first and has helped us achieve exactly the desired outcome for our house. In fact we’ve already booked in for another project with them in the new year.

Really recommend Jimmy and his team. When we bought our house in Forest Gate it was falling apart. They completed a full refurbishment -stripped out the house, modified the downstairs layout to make it open plan and changed the upstairs layout (from 5 bedrooms to 3 bedrooms), made large structural changes including installing steels to reinforce the basement, and above new openings to fit bifolding doors. They also, re-plumbed, re-wired, fitted a new boiler, a new kitchen and bathroom, plastered all walls, repaired the guttering, fit new flooring throughout, insulated the loft and basement, and decorated to a very high standard. The work was done incredibly quickly (done in 10 weeks) which are so grateful for - sometimes we would turn up and there would be 8 workers on site. Jimmy was always available to discuss the work (any time night and day) and gave us lots of great ideas to simplify the work which saved us money in the long run.

Having recently purchased a new house, we wanted to use a builder that could offer us a ‘one stop shop’ rather than using lots of different traders. We decided on using a&m builders as they could offer us everything we needed including plumbing, electrical work, knocking down walls, decoration, laying floors and a kitchen installation. We had direct contact with a very personable chap called Jimmy. He was straight talking and very knowledgeable. Despite us wanting several changes as the commenced, he was very accommodating and I cannot speak highly enough of him or his company. I highly recommend this company as their work is of the highest quality whilst also being very competitively priced.

This is my second time working with Jimmy on a complete refurbishment of a terraced house. We got our house back after a years-long ordeal with our previous tenants where we did not have access to the property for 7 years. We were horrified at what we found in the house; dangerous building work, plumbing and electrics; an unauthorised loft conversion; failing guttering; damp; and a garden that had been used as a dump for scrap metal from the surrounding area. The day we got the keys back we couldn't believe how much work it was going to take to get the house back into a habitable condition. However, having worked with Jimmy on a similar project the year prior, we felt confident that we would get the best result for the fairest price in the quickest time. In under two months Jimmy and his team have completely transformed the house into a beautiful, bright family home. It has been completely re-plumbed, re-wired, re-floored, re-decorated and fitted with a brand new modern kitchen and bathroom. Jimmy also created a great new outdoor space for us, amongst countless other smaller jobs that he does with the customer always at the forefront of his mind. Builders don't come more hard-working or trustworthy than Jimmy - you will be lucky to work with him.

We used A M Builders because they can do everything we needed and at a reasonable price. Jimmy gave us some good ideas and advice. Jimmy & his team gutted our bathroom first, then tiled our walls and floor and around our window frame. Then fitted a new shower unit, re plumbed everything & fitted new sink & toilet & rad etc. Jimmy & his team then started on our Kitchen as we wanted a kitchen diner. They knocked down our partition wall and closed of a no longer needed doorway. Then took ceiling down & insulated & re plastered, levelled the flooring & one wall, then re plastered throughout. Then started on the plumbing side and took old gas pipes out & fitted new piping for electric appliances. Then tiled our floor throughout and fitted us a new separate downstairs toilet new tiling & small sink. Then Fitted out new kitchen units & rad, sink etc and decorated for a fantastic finish. I would highly recommend Jimmy and his hardworking team to anyone.

We are new to the area and bought a house knowing it would need work. AM builders were recommended by our designer. We were given details of another recent customer and she vouched for the quality of Jimmy's work, and their project was impressive. Jimmy and his crew started with us in late April: they opened through from the kitchen to dining room, repaired sagging joists, insulated under the entire ground floor, installed underfloor heating in the kitchen, took out an old toilet and installed a new cloakroom / shower room, made openings for new windows to be installed, re-tiled the entire floor and redecorated - all in about 5 weeks. The standard of workmanship was impeccable, they kept in touch and made decision making easy, their costs were entirely reasonable and they were a pleasure to work with. As the title says, we can't recommend highly enough.
