Highlights

Andy designed and built our kitchen 2yrs ago. It is a beautiful kitchen and everything still works perfectly. Andy is extremely knowledgable about kitchens and products, and anything he doesn't know he researches. He was incredibly flexible and accommodating to our wishes,. He also filled in small spaces with really useful cupboards and built in wine racks rather than boxing them in, like I'm sure many kitchen fitters would have done. But I"m actually writing this review because Andy came back to fix something - that we had broken 3yrs later - which is definitely above and beyond!

Andy was very knowledgeable and happy to suggest recommendations he thought would fit in with my ideas. His portfolio is extensive - so much choice, and the finished kitchen actually exceeded my expectaions. I had a basic vision but Andy helped me extend that. His attention to detail is evident in his passion for what he does. I would highly recommend Andy for both design and fitting of kitchens.

So my experience to others on feedback is completely different. Andy has a lot of experience but he wants to do things his way. He designed the kitchen and at points it felt as if I needed to justify anything I wanted. After 1 full week of work in which Andy tiled 1/2 a floor we parted ways and I had another group come in to complete kitchen to meet deadlines for templating. I wish I had gone to another fitter,I should have taken more notice of red flags generated from my side. I wish I had never used Andy and his merry band of workman. I would never use him again .

Never pay a large deposit up front. Agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow. Both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
