Hardworking and tidy tradesmen. Nothing was ever a problem and Joe was always friendly and helpful with advice. We were kept up to date with the project from start to finish and even checked in on once he left. Joe is trustworthy and works 110% on the job- he completed the job to a great standard. We are really happy with the final result.

We received two quotes for the installation of a downstairs toilet. Both quotes were for the same price and time scale. We chose the quote that wanted no money required until the job was finished. A short time into the job, we were asked for money, or the job would not be continued. The contractor had various personal problems, so we tried to help the best we could. We paid additional amounts to him as we went along as well as paying some costs ourselves. We stopped the contractor from painting and filling as we considered his work to be substandard. We did not, however, pay him any less than the price he quoted. The job was due to be completed in July 2024. By the end of August 2024. The contractor wanted to start another contract with someone else. We agreed that he could return to us in 3 weeks time. We contacted him in December 2024. He agreed to return to finish the job. By the end of January 2025 he had still not returned. In February 2025 , we had to pay someone else to finish the job, even though we had paid Ashton & Cole , in full (a big mistake on our part). The contractor has not replied to any of our messages (5) since 6 February. He has refused to refund the cost we incurred to finish the job. Very disappointed. We would not recommend him to anyone else.
