Professional and effective damp treatment

We employed Avant Gard to treat a damp problem we had on 2 walls. In addition we asked for some repair jobs to some historical problems we had with damaged walls. The team know their stuff and completed quite a lot of work in 3 days. The problem has, as far as we can see been resolved. Damp Proofing and treatment for woodworm

Ben and his team provided a realistic and competitive quotation against others received to undertake damp proof treatment to lower level rooms in a property built in 1893. He took the time to explain carefully the work being suggested, the materials to be used and how these would be effective in treating the damp issues that existed. Damp problem surveyed, analysed and dealt with

A damp survey was conducted thoroughly in the course of which we gained good advice. This was followed by a by a comprehensive report containing all the advice and more. We needed some work done so that our damp course could work; we also needed some internal work which involved stripping back one internal wall and re-plastering it. The work was carried out efficiently and to a good standard. We feel that our damp problem has been comprehensively and professionally dealt with. Communication was excellent, queries were immediately responded to.

Damp work

Ben came out and completed a review and very comprehensive report quickly and thoroughly, explaining the issues clearly and the work that needed to be completed. Replacing rendering around windows

I am very pleased at the works carried out AG Damp Solution Ltd to replace the rendering and pebbledash that had cracked and let rain in around the windows at my property. Thorough, honest and professional survey - highly recommend

We received a damp survey by an alternative damp specialist company. Ben's Avant Garde survey was in a completely different league. From meeting Ben in person for the survey it is clear he is highly knowledgeable and honest. His objective was not to maximise the quote for Avant Garde but rather to set out clearly the issues and risks identified as well as those which should be monitored but do not require immediate action. The subsequent report provided was very detailed which was highly informative in enabling us to understand his recommendations and proceed confidently to book in the work. We are very grateful to Ben for saving us a huge sum compared to the less personalised and less specialised assessment from a competitor.

Avant Guarde to the rescue!

Ben and his team came to my rescue when I was let down by another company 4 days before they were due to start work on the damp at my house. Ben provided a very comprehensive report and the work which started 4 days ahead of schedule followed the recommended treatment of the walls exactly as per the report. The work was completed to a very high standard and I am more than happy wth the finished result. I found Ben and his team to be very hard working, (hardly ever stopped for breaks), considerate and polite. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Avant Guarde Damp Solutions. Wet Rot in ceiling joists

A structural engineer inspection revealed that we had wet rot in the joists above our bathroom. They held up the floor of the flat above, so two properties were affected. We could not refurbish our bathroom until the problem had been treated. I rang round a number of firms. Some were very expensive; others did not return my calls. AG Damp Solutions did and appeared reasonable, even discounting 50% of the cost of the initial report if treatment was subsequently undertaken. I had been warned that some of the firms specialising in this area created unnecessary work and expense. Wet rot does sound scary and expensive, but AG Damp Solutions made an inspection and submitted a report within a week, reassuring me that the problem was not horrendous and that treatment would fix it. I had to find a contractor to expose a section of the joists and bolt on new joists to the old after a day's treatment by AG Damp Solutions. The work was done quickly and at a reasonable cost, with a guarantee. I would recommend this firm to anyone.

So impressed

I had issues with damp walls for a while and contacted so many companies that firstly were charging a fortune just for the inspection and secondly they were very expensive. I then found Avant Garde which had lots of good reviews. I was very impressed with the work they have done. Firstly the report shared after the inspection was very detailed and that gave me a lot of confidence. Secondly, It is always a daunting experience to remove plaster and redo it and I thought it would be a nightmare to clean afterwards. But I have to say that not only the walls look so smooth now but the house was left spotless after the work. I am sure the damp issue has been sorted and I also got a 20 year warranty.
