Bathroom floor repair and tiling

Chris repaired and retiled a water-damaged bathroom floor for us, and it was a pleasure to work with him throughout. Because it was difficult to survey the extent of the damage, Chris suggested that he do an initial investigation rather than quote for a bunch of work that may not be required. As it turned out, he was right, and the job wasn't as bad as we first feared, so he saved us time and money through his honest and straightforward approach. The quality of Chris's work was excellent, and it was all done within the timeframe we agreed. I wasn't able to get to the flat while he was working on it, but he kept me informed all the way through with photos and text updates. I'd have no hesitation recommending Chris and using him again for any other projects we might have.

Chris came up with some great ideas over and above my original concept, such as gas struts to lift the bed, giving us storage underneath I often came back to find the stage discussed was complete and waiting for the next phase with further creative input Good, clean, efficient work at a great price Will definitely get them back for the next project

Excellent carpentry and stonework

Chris Glidden t/a Concious Concepts is a multi-skilled professional with a pleasant can-do approach to his tasks. He skillfully constructed and fitted an indoor shelf for me, and an outside door, both to a very high standard. A few weeks later, he removed a wooden step and replaced it with a stone step with precision. All work was carried to budget and schedule, with the workplace left clean and tidy He clearly takes a pride in his work, and I would have no hesitation in employing him for further work, or recommending him to others.

Chris cut and fitted new gloss-finish doors to our new fridge-freezer (the old F-F doors didn't fit) to match the rest of our fitted kitchen, and cut and fitted an additional shelf in one of the kitchen cupboards. We'd struggled to find someone willing to do the job - it was less than a full day's work and maybe recommended traders prefer to just lineup bigger jobs. So we were happy when Chris provided an acceptable quote and was able to fit us in within a few weeks of initial contact. He arrived on time and did a brilliant job, taking the time needed to make sure everything was fitted with precision and care, and with a good finish. He was also careful to tidy up afterwards. Overall we are very pleased.

Outstanding Work & Professional

This has been the 2nd time Chris has completed works for me. Firstly he fitted bespoke skirting boards around my flat after it was rewired. The result was a fantastic looking finish and because of this, I used Chris again to complete other works to help fit a bespoke panel for my boiler to tidy up the area and create a neater look. It was completed to the agreed schedule. Chris worked on site using his professional set up and the budget was in line and affordable. On first impressions, Chris stands out a mile from his competition. He has a very friendly approachable manner about him, and immediately understood what I wanted. His professionalism is second to none. It is clear to see that Chris takes great pride with his work delivering to a very high standard. Having already used Chris once, there was no doubt I would be using his services again. Chris was very helpful throughout the works, providing updates on his progress. He was brilliant at answering any queries I had and was extremely helpful along the way. He is a highly talented & skilled Carpenter who is reliable, professional & trustworthy which is very difficult to come by. I can't recommend Chris highly enough.
