I had an issue with a locked door handle and originally thought the whole mechanism would need replacing, as first quoted. However, after taking a proper look, he realised it only needed lubricating — no unnecessary parts, no upselling. His honesty and professionalism were genuinely refreshing. He’s extremely trustworthy, efficient, and clearly knows his craft. I’ll definitely be calling him first if I ever need something like this done again. Highly recommended!

Outstanding, glad we came across James, dropped him a message, even though he was on holiday, still found the time to respond, explain what was wrong with our patio doors,eg new hinges plus rehung, sent James some photos, he got back to us with a very good price, came round when he said he would again which is rare these days, even fixed another window we had a problem with whilst here, exceptional work ethic along with very meticulous, polite and friendly, goes without saying that we would highly recommend James, definitely our 1st point of call in the future ,not one of those rip off trades men either, many thanks for sorting out our door along with the window, James

Rang Jamie and he was able to squeeze a visit to me at the end of the day as he was local. I explained the issue and Jamie relayed what the likely cause would be and what he would have to do. Having lost a set of keys to multiple locks in our home we requested the services of James at cypher locksmiths. James responded promptly and attended our property on short notice. The service he provided was quick, Efficient and professional.
Very pleased with the prompt and reliable service. Our front door has been problematic for a while and it is so nice to have the problem sorted so quickly and efficiently. He also replaced 2 broken window handles.

Brilliant same day service to repair a broken rebated hinge on a upvc French Door.
The locking mechanism on a window had jammed and the window was stuck shut. James came this morning and opened the window for us and fitted a new locking mechanism. He arrived perfectly at the time he said and got straight to work. He kept me informed all throughout as to what he was doing. The job was a little more taxing than expected, but he was more than competent and got the job done in less than an hour. He was very efficient and tidied up after himself. I will be recommending James to anyone that needs his help and I've now saved his number for any future problems I have. 5*
