Amazing job by David

David recently helped paint a two-bedroom flat and the whole experience was excellent. Great communication, always kept me updated as to progress, and gave much appreciated and needed advice on the choice of colour/paints/other decorative aspects. The painting job was completed well ahead of time, and to a very high quality - the whole flat looks so much more fresh and new. David also left the flat really clean and neat. David also helped run through my options in relation to my balcony/kitchens/doors, and it was great to hear the opinion of such an experienced decorator. Would highly recommend!

A great experience

David came to us through a recommended by a friend and we are extremely pleased that he did. His response and quote were speedy and he was able to start promptly. Our one bedroom flat has been tenanted for a number of years and looked it. David did a great job of repairing damage to the walls and woodwork, painting it and restoring it to its former glory in double-quick time. As we do not live at the property we did not see the work until we came to look on the final day and were absolutely delighted by the result (and lack of mess) Recommended without hesitation as an excellent, reliable, honest and thoroughly competent tradesman all at a price that was more than reasonable. Reliable, helpful, skilled

David painted three rooms for us, and did the job beautifully. He was easy to communicate with from the start, gave useful advice, and was completely reliable. He turned up like clockwork every day, wasn't juggling our job with any others, and left the place as tidy as humanly possible when he'd finished. David's initial quote was very reasonable, and when I asked for some changes to the work he amended it quickly. He is a skilled painter and decorator, and a pleasure to deal with.

Great to work with

David recently redecorated my living room - this was the second decorating job he'd done for me. His quote was competitive. He was flexible about the start date for the job, which I asked to change by a day. As stated by other reviewers, he arrived promptly and reliably every day and finished the work within the planned timescale. He has a great knowledge of paints, he produced a very good finish, and he was amazingly clean and tidy in his work.

An excellent all round job

We chose David Neall Decorating after shortlisting three firms. The job consisted of the complete internal redecoration of my daughter's 2 bed apartment in Bermondsey, south east London. It is hard to find any fault with the way David has handled our project. He has been reliable, his pricing is very fair and the work was done to a high standard. He was neat and tidy, he provided useful advice about paint makes and types and he completed the work a little ahead of schedule. We have enjoyed working with David and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Great Decorator

We've now hired David for 3 jobs since we moved into our victorian terrace house. He is a true craftsman and knows his trade inside out. The standard of the finish is impeccable. During the job he is very neat and tidies up around the workspace to keep disruption in the house to a minimum. I have no hesitation in recommending him as a trusted trader. We'll definitely be asking to do further work on the house again.

A top-quality decorator!

David first decorated my house in 2002 and I thought he did such a good job that he's the only decorator that I've used since. He has recently redecorated my kitchen, bathroom, hall, stairs and landing and, as ever, his work is of a very high standard and the finish is immaculate. David is extremely reliable - always arrives on time and completes the job within the timescale he's quoted for. He is methodical in his work and is tidy and well organised. He keeps me up to date with what he's planning to do each day and is a great source of advice on colours and design - and is always up to date with the latest products. David is friendly and courteous and delivers a great service with the minimum of disruption. I highly recommend him.

An excellent decorator

David did an excellent job painting my flat. He was always punctual, extremely professional and worked quickly. I was very impressed with the final outcome and I liked that he was always willing to answer my questions and provide his expert guidance.

David painted the interior of our house a couple years ago. David was very engaged and gave good advice on choices of paint brand and colour combinations. David was particularly knowledgeable in this area and clearly cared that we got the finish we wanted. David works methodically and quietly and delivers a good job. We have invited David round for subsequent work and kindly offered to paint our bathroom ceiling at no extra cost. David will be the first person we call for any future work.

David was very helpful in giving sound advice on colours and finishes and gave us a very competitive quote promptly after surveying the work. David is very straightforward and easy to deal with. David works by himself and is incredibly tidy and puts a lot of thought into making sure that there is minimal disruption to your routine. David did a superb job painting our kitchen woodwork and also painting our wooden kitchen floor. He is extremely reliable and professional and takes great pride in doing a good job. He turns up when he says he will, does a thorough job and completes promptly. We are delighted with our newly decorated kitchen especially the floor which now looks beautiful, a transformation. David is reasonably priced, and very clear and prompt with his quotes.

He worked in the house alone while we were on holiday and left everything pristine for our return - apart from the change in paint colour we wouldn't have known he'd been there. . David is an old-fashioned craftsman who won't rest until the job is perfect. Totally reliable, painstaking attention to preparation (surely the secret of a good paint job?) full of helpful advice and ideas that might not have occurred to the customer, and eminently reasonably priced. He's done all our bedrooms and will be invited back to do the hall and downstairs in due course. Originally recommended by our architect, otherwise we probably wouldn't have searched so far afield (we're North London) -but very glad that we did!
