Dan was recommended to me by a neighbour. Dishwasher broke down, sockets all out. Dan rectified the problem over the phone with very clear instructions. He answered my call swiftly and was very professional. I recommend him without hesitation.

Very professional service
This is the third project that DMD Electrical Installations Ltd has implemented at my home. It comprised the installation of power and lighting to two adjacent outbuildings. Dan visited to assess the works in order to provide an estimate. The first thing you notice when meeting him is that he listens carefully to customer requirements/wishes, while contributing expert advice to help arrive at a suitable solution. The estimate for the works arrived within a few days. As always, the work was carried out with meticulous care, very neat and tidy and with everything clearly labelled and explained. The site was left clean and tidy. The invoice arrived in a timely fashion, as well as the certificates. The invoice was as per the estimate. It’s clear that Dan is a very skilled electrician who takes great pride in his work and cares deeply about his reputation. I’ll be using DMD Electrical Installations Ltd for any electrical projects that I might have in my home in the future.

DMD electrical explained everything very clearly, about my new EV charging station from the first moment we discussed it. The quote was clear and well laid out. EV Charger installation.
When contacted for a quotation for a charger installation, their response was quick and they were always ready to answer any questions. The quotation was quickly provided clearly setting out the content. Once the order was placed I was always kept up to date with progress and a reminder sent just before the agreed installation date. On the day they kept me informed on progress and carried out the work quickly and without fuss. Care was taken when working inside and everything left neat and tidy on completion. Time was taken to ensure that I understood operation of the charger. On arrival I requested some additional work which they undertook without any fuss. Overall a great experience. Would thoroughly recommend.

Both Dan and Fabian were efficient, knowledgeable and respectful. Arrived when they said they would, carried out works to a high standard, no mess and ensured I was happy with the work before leaving. I would definitely recommend them and will use them going forward for any electrical work

Detailed work carried out in a professional and timely manner
Dan recently produced a detailed Electrical Installation Condition Report at our listed cottage. He subsequently recommended and carried out the necessary remedial work, upgrading the fuse board to modern standards and also installed various new additions. All the work was of a high standard & was carried out quietly, efficiently and with a minimum of fuss. Dan was always helpful & approachable. Throughout, Dan demonstrated an impressive depth of knowledge of the complex associated regulations surrounding electrical installations, providing us with detailed certificates and reports. I do not hesitate to recommend DMD for any electrical work

Replacement of kitchen down lights
I was recommended Dan at DMD, by a friend who had used this company in the past, and spoke very highly of his work. I contacted Dan, he responded really quickly, did a home visit to assess the work, put forward 2 options, of which I selected one. I was very impressed by his respect re Covid and the precautions he took on entering my home. He was on time to carry out the work, with his assistant. They were both very pleasant, respectful, and completed the job, as they advised me. I was very impressed how tidy and neat the down lights had been fitted, they totally cleaned up any dust and mess, in my home. I would definitely use him again if I needed to, and would strongly recommend to friends.

EV charger installed, great experience from beginning to end
I have just had a home charging unit for my electric car installed by DMD Electrical Installations and have found them to be exemplary from start to finish. I asked for quotes from several companies and DMD got back to me very quickly to book in a convenient time to visit our property to quote for the work. In fact, they were the only company to respond positively and helpfully out of the more than a dozen I contacted. Our house is on quite a slope with the driveway some distance from the house so we thought this would be a problem but they instantly reassured us this would be very possible and safely achieved and gave a very reasonable quote for the job. Not only that but they gave fantastic advice on which chargers to consider and their own recommendations within our price range - very helpful given that I had no idea where to start. They weren’t pushing the most expensive, just very honest and helpful. Installation day arrived with our two professional, courteous and very punctual electricians who dealt with all the complications of our location competently and expertly. They were very polite and helpful and also very neat and tidy; especially considering how much it was raining while they were here! The charger itself is brilliant and I am very happy that this was indeed the best option for us. Overall, we are very happy with not only the work carried out, which is of a very high standard, but also the communication throughout.

Outstanding Electrician
We had 3 very expensive high end designer lights installed above the breakfast bar in our new kitchen which, to our complete disappointment, gave off very little light once they were up and weren’t much use . Before we found Dan on this website , we had been told there was nothing that could be done and that we’d just have to learn to live with them . However much to our great delight, Dan Dunscombe at DMD was able to think outside the box and he found a solution to give us hugely improved light using adapters he sourced . The transformation is incredible and we are so happy especially, as we were told by other electricians nothing could be done. In addition to obviously being a very highly skilled technician, Dan is a thoroughly lovely man, impeccably polite, tidy, on time , dependable and reasonably priced . He has been worth his weight in gold to us . Now that we have found him , we will hopefully use him for years to come. Thank you so much Dan

DMD is friendly and professional - highly recommend
We moved into a new build last year and recently installed a breakfast bar in the kitchen. We asked Dan to fit a power socket so we had power to our breakfast bar for baking, preparing food etc. He was very friendly and explained how he would get power from one side of our kitchen to the other and presented us with our options so we had the choice of where the work was carried out. He did a fab job and he was super professional throughout. Would highly recommend!

We asked DMD to move our fuse box to comply with regulations and install new lighting but also found other work that was needed to update the houses' electrical system. We are very happy with the work DMD has done. He was very professional and friendly and there were no issues when we had extra requests. We would use DMD again.

Prompt response, efficient and friendly
Dan supplied and fitted a Nest front doorbell and an outside power point. He responded promptly to my enquiry, came to inspect the work required and provided an easily understood quote, for what seemed to me to be a very fair price. He arrived at the agreed time and carried out the work efficiently and tidily, leaving no mess. He explained clearly how the doorbell facilities worked. I am entirely satisfied, and would recommend him to others.

Dan responded swiftly to my request for a quote, to modify existing outdoor security lighting and to fit an extended ADSL cable to a PC. My first impressions of Dan were that he was professional, courteous and decisive in explaining the works involved in adapting the existing lighting. A detailed written quote followed. The works commenced as agreed and he diligently overcame the first snag of determining the existing wiring set up some 30yrs old. He worked tidily inside and outside the house, being very respectful of carefully laying floor covering. I appreciated the explanations of what options there were during the works and felt confident that he was a competent electrician. It was a pleasure to have Dan working on this project and I have no hesitation in recommending him and will certainly be contacting him again for any future work. Thank you.

Thoroughly professional
Dan did 3 pieces of work for me. He turned up on time to do the quote and on both days to do the work. One of the pieces of work involved connecting to the boiler. It turned out that the control valves had been installed incorrectly and the boiler's manufacturer had also made non-standard changes to the control board inside it. Dan was thoroughly professional in working through the issues and finding solutions to them. I'm very happy to recommend Dan and will also be happy to use him when I have more electrical work which needs doing.

Dan came to fit a security camera at my non standard home. We hit a snag straight away but he was not phased. Came up with an alternative fixing point and set to work. It was pouring with rain but he persevered till he had the angle right. He was tidy, polite and friendly and very honest. He was at my home longer than expected but wouldn’t take anything extra. What a gent! Would recommend and use again in a heartbeat.

I highly recommend Daniel as his work was excellent and he is very polite and friendly. I was very pleased with the job he carried out for me and will happily use him again. The extractor fan and light in my bathroom both stopped working, and he came at the time he promised and diagnosed the light cord switch needed replacing, which he replaced. He did not try and persuade me to have a new fan, which I thought was very honest. He even cleaned the fan for me and put my glass shade back for me. He is very professional and efficient.
