I found Luke and his co workers to be very polite, friendly and always on time. Luke kept me up to date on what would happen and when, he was very flexible about making the odd changes if necessary. When they left each day they always made sure to clean up. His prices were very reasonable and I would use him again if I needed additional building work done.

This is the 3rd job that Durrant Construction have done for us now having previously built a rear extension & rebuilt a wall & some steps. I think that basically says it all. We found them initially on Trust a Trader & we wouldn’t go anywhere other than to Luke and his company for any building works whether big or small. This has been the biggest project so far in building a loft conversion to create 2 bedrooms & a bathroom for our 2 growing teenagers! I won’t lie, it wasn’t without hitches along the way but with a project that size you expect it but Luke was always on hand 7 days a week if we needed to contact him about any queries or problems we had and he always ensured they were rectified. Like he always said “he wants us to be happy”. An amazing job, we can’t thank him and all the team, it was lovely seeing old faces back like Ryan & Spence - not Luke (only joking!) plus meeting some new ones like Sam and Jacob. Thanks guys! You did great, again! Until the next project ...

Some friends recommended Luke and the team to come and build our patio and a pergola. Luke helped refine the design and ideas from the first meeting and it was a pleasure to deal with someone who's attitude was "not a problem". Dealing with the team was easy and the guys on site throughout were courteous, friendly and very hard working. The results have exceeded our expectation and I feel I got good value from Luke. Outstanding team and would recommend to anyone.

My initial specification for a two storey side extension and single storey rear extension was drawn up by architectural designers.  I asked four companies to quote and looked at their work. I chose Durrants because their quote was comprehensive and seemed reasonable value for money and I liked the polite way they came across. I moved out and rented a property while the build took place for six months.  During the construction  I found Luke to be very communicative, competent and trustworthy. The team interpreted and implemented the design well in my opinion. The slight issue was occasionally having to remind one or two people to stick to my design. In the end, Luke and his team have produced the WOW factor. I am happy with and proud of my new bigger better home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Durrant Construction. Luke Durants quote was the most comprehensive with less extras, and we ultimately chose them because of how highly recommended they came, by several people in the area. Their approach was logical and methodical. They never let us down. All his staff were helpful, hardworking, skilful and had many value add ideas. You can tell they were happy in their work. Any questions were answered within the hour or less, in most cases. The quality of the work is high end, nothing was skimped. The outcome was fantastic and has a real wow factor. We are delighted with the finished extension and would recommend them to anybody.

A wonderful experience from our first meeting. Luke was able to explain the whole build process from start to finish and point us in the right direction with regard to the finer design features we wanted. Having your own home built is an exciting, but scary experience; so getting the right company onboard is essential. The quotation included a full breakdown of each build stage, along with a payment plan. Our house took only 9 months to complete and Durrant Construction staff were on site each and everyday. Luke was able to manage his team at Durrant and partner subcontractors seamlessly to ensure a smooth build. Luke’s experience meant that an issue with the roof joists which wasn’t spotted by our architect and building control potentially averted what could have been a costly mistake. We are now living in our beautiful home and cannot thank Luke and his team at Durrant Construction enough. We would not hesitate to recommend Durrant Construction to our friends and family.

Luke came to us highly recommended, from the four quotes we gained, Luke wasnt the cheapest, but was the one we felt the most comfortable with and we didnt regret that decision. From the initial discussion, Luke was honest about the time scale the job would take and when he could start the work. Once the work started, Luke rang me daily to advise me who was going to be there and what they would be doing on that day and to also let me know if there wasnt going to be anyone there which was very rare. If we needed to make any decisions, we were given more than enough time to make these. Lukes team are an asset to him, they are extremely polite, work very hard and always tidied up after themselves. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Luke and his team and to also use him again for any further work.

Where do you start? Positively of course... Luke and his team are brilliant. Our extension was carried out from October 2016 to March 2017. From start to finish it was a pleasure to have Luke and his team onsite (bearing in mind we had a 3 month old baby when work commenced). They completed a single storey rear and double storey side extension - adding two new bathrooms, extending our kitchen and adding two new bedrooms and a new study. From plumbers, to electricians, to plasterers, to bricklayers, to tilers - all of the team were happy to help, did a great job and were friendly, polite and professional. I would recommend Luke's team without hesitation... we have in fact just had him over to quote for some additional work! If there were more companies like Durrant Construction around, Trust a Trader wouldn't need to exist, but we are glad it does as it's where we found them!
