Highlights

Ed replaced our faulty kitchen hob for us and made the necessary upgrades to our fuse board and oven isolator to accommodate it. Very pleased with Ed's work and would recommend him to anyone. Communication was clear and prompt and work completed on time. Ed was polite and even fixed my broken door for me on his way out! 10/10.

We had a landing light stop working. A second landing light had stopped working months earlier but we had managed with just one light. So when that one went we had to find an electrician and we always use Ed because he is so reliable and fair in his charges. As always, Ed responded quickly and repaired both lights for us. We will never use another electrician.

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

Ed arrived promptly and completed all work as agreed. Good communication in between initial estimate and commencement of work. Ed was friendly and efficient and didn't leave any mess behind when he left. I've already booked him in for another job.

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
