FT Gearing Landscape Services Ltd have given us a beautiful patio, very attractive paving and two large steps - one outside our living room and one outside our music room. Initially we had three points of concern which were dealt with promptly as soon as we reported them. They also did some gardening for us - carried out with efficiency. We would say that it was a pleasure to deal with Michael Gearing, who was always readily available for discussion and clarification, and replied promptly to any queries. It was also a pleasure to have Wes and his team to carry out the work. We would certainly employ FT Gearing Landscape Services Ltd again. They did excellent work - with promptness, politeness and efficiency.

Used F T Gearing to replace an old garden gate for my elderly Mum, who is sight impaired & hard of hearing & I was unable to be at the property. From beginning to end the customer service was to a very high standard & the company did all they could to make the job as easy as possible, Chris was very professional at all times & Mum felt comfortable with him measuring up & finally with the fitting. I would thoroughly recommend this company for the value, service & professionalism of the company.

Refurbishing a patio

Michael was excellent to work with, thoughtful in his approach and always clear as to pros, cons and costs. As the plans progressed he was responsive to our evolving ideas and able to arrange his workers as needed. The workers themselves were pleasant and tidied up properly at the end of each day. They took great care to minimize the damage to surrounding plants. Even those plants trained up supporting walls that were ripped out and replaced were hardly marked. Visitors are impressed with the finished appearance, and those who don't know the garden well think it's a new patio. Obviously we are very pleased with the work done.

Great Job

My neighbour was having his old fence replaced. I asked the lead worker for FT Gearing if they might be able to repair a trellis post for me. Having quoted in advance they carried out the work a few days later. I'm extremely pleased with the work and the professionalism of the installing workers. Will definitely use them again should the need arise and would recommend to others.

New fencing and patio

We chose to use F.T. Gearing Landscape Services following a Which search and examining existing reviews. We have to say we have not been disappointed. We required new perimeter fencing and a replacement patio. We feel that in terms of pricing Gearing are more expensive than others. However, we believe the adage you get what you pay for and we got an excellent job. Carried out efficiently and on time and being mindful of respect for the neighbors property creating as little disturbance as possible. We would have no hesitation in recommending Gearing and would be happy to use them again.

Very efficient company doing high quality work.

Customer service from the main office through to the professionals replacing my garden fence was excellent throughout. The quote was a fair price and the materials and quality of workmanship was very good indeed. They kept me informed at all times and were very prompt in their timekeeping. The job was left perfectly clean at the end with all rubbish removed.

Excellent work

Mr Gearing and his team have done five separate jobs over the last twelve months for me including modifying steps at the front of my home as well as installing some at the rear of my property. Communications is great - no hassle from the moment you make the first call through to completion of the job. Timely visit followed by a written quotation which I value. Great work from a professional and a highly reliable team. Mr Gearing and his team are highly trustworthy and have done each job to high standards.

Outstanding service

The FT Gearing team did an excellent job replacing our fence with a more durable solution. We had a good idea of what we wanted and they made sure the design matched our specification. The team's attention to detail was impressive, the materials are good quality and the final result looks neat and well constructed. They were mindful of all necessary COVID measures and took care to observe social distancing while they worked. Above all, the communication was excellent - the team were helpful and polite and we were kept fully updated throughout the process from quote through to completion. We will be asking them back when we renovate our driveway, and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Tree removal

Im a keen gardener and try to do most things myself, but needed a big holly tree and surrounding foliage removed. Chris did a neat, unrushed job of this for a good (preagreed) price, and also gave me lots of good advice about what to do with the space that's been created.

New planting scheme

Chris from F.T.Gearing has been very helpful with advice to replant much of our garden. He listened to our needs, and came up with a lovely design, which has just been planted. Three men took 2 days to do the work, and they were neat and tidy, and most personable. Highly recommended.

Reliable and always helpful

We have been using FT Gearings for many years to look after the grounds and parking areas of our commercial and residential properties in Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City. They are extremely helpful and efficient and we can always rely on them to do a good job. They are always willing to help out at short notice when we have any emergencies or urgent issues to solve. I would highly recommend them.

A good job well done

We were very satisfied with the results of the work. Gearings were very interactive, providing advice and listening to our requirements. When any problems arose we were always consulted. Their crew worked on through some very nasty weather and always seemed cheerful. We are also very happy with the selection of plants provided (Some suggested/ provided by us, some from them.) and look forward to the spring/ summer for the full effect - not necessarily this year. Not cheap but excellent value for money.

Professional

I recently employed FT Gearing to undertake a wide selection of tasks including the laying of a concrete base, the relocating of shrubs, removal of tree stumps, planting of new trees and building a wooden deck. All work was done to a high professional level and most importantly they always turned up when scheduled to do so. Their back office were great at keeping me up to date communication wise. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Good, tidy work.

I needed my drive 'sorted out' after a rogue tradesman carried out a dreadful job. Michael and his team were brilliant. Really friendly and efficient. I felt confident having them on my property and am totally satisfied with the work carried out. I would thoroughly recommend their services.
