Had to have a locksmith come to the aid of a door with a multipoint locking mechanism that was almost impossible to close. Konrad came and did a splendid job, and kept a running commentary for us to know what was going on.

I had a key stuck in a patio door lock on a Friday afternoon and was worried I wouldn’t be able to lock the door over the weekend , but I contacted GCD who already do my alarm and luckily Mike Kent was available to pop round in an hour , take the lock apart and fit a new barrel. I was very relieved and lock is working perfectly now.

I would happily recommend GCD Security as a local company that installed an intruder alarm and lighting system at my home last month. I felt that my specific requirements for coverage were listened to and understood, before we were presented with solution options. I received advice on my security concerns, rather than a sales pitch. The installers too were professional and tidy. At the end of the job, my wife and I were given patient training on the configuration and operation of the system, as well as the setup of the control app on our individual phones. It gave us confidence that we would have their support in the future too, if we ever needed any further help.

We were in a bit of a fix and GDC came along and sorted out our locks so quickly. The staff are superb. We felt very confident that the security advice given and the products (new front door locks) were the best, so we now feel super-secure. The key reference info is so reassuring (confidential and secure), so if we need more keys, we can just order them from the GCD shop with the reference card. Brilliant!

We have been working with GCD for a number of years now and they have always delivered on time and on budget and the quality of their work has been exceptional. We recently had burglar alarms fitted to four of our outbuildings and our CCTV system was fitted by them previously with some additional cameras fitted at the same time as the alarm installation. GCD Have maintained my Burglar alarm, Entry intercom and Locks over many years. They are always ready to help if any problems arise. I find them incredibly conscientious and their pricing is fair. The latest project upgrading my alarm has now given me the ability to use my phone via the Texecom App. This gives me total control over my alarm and peace of mind when I am away from my home. The technician who goes the extra mile is Ben. He explained the workings of the App to me and did not leave the house until I was confident on the use of the upgraded alarm system. He is professional and courteous and a real asset to GCD. I would gladly recommend this Company.

My carpet fitter managed to put a nail through a cable used by my security alarm system. I called GCD Security who attended the same day, and fixed the issue. They had to re-join the wire using a soldering iron (further repairing the attempted fix by the carpet fitter who tried to join the wire juts by twisting them, but failed to do it properly). GCD Security then used volt meters to test the connection was good. Then, the next problem to fix was to identify another reason for why the alarm didn't set. They identified 2 blown fuses and a now faulty PIR. They fixed/replaced these. Very happy with both the work, the professionalism, the fact they kept the place tidy and clean and the price to fix was very reasonable. I will certainly use them again. Thank you GCD Security.

Excellent!! Would highly recommend GCD Security. They provide a personal, caring and professional service. They surveyed my house and provided the quote quickly. They installed the alarm on the date and time they stated. On arrival they confirmed all the locations for security prior to doing the work and worked quietly and considerately all day. They were very tidy throughout. They were extremely patient explaining how the alarm system worked which was very reassuring. They also suggested some additional steps I could do to improve my security which were very helpful. I had a safe installed and this went very smoothly too. I have used GCD at my previous house and all my family use them. I wouldn't choose anyone else. The locksmith replaced the Yale-type top lock and bottom mortice lock on the day and at the time booked. He was friendly, helpful and competent. When adjusting the fit of the door, he identified that the door hinges needed replacing. He made the 1.5 mile trip to 'base', returned, and duly replaced the job. An excellent job was done and very good value for money.
