Andy came and fixed our front gate lock on Friday. This has not been working for sometime. As soon as he had arrived Andy quickly replaced the old mechanism and very soon after that the gate lock was working again. Andy came out within a couple of hours when my front door key snapped off in the lock. After trying every implement to remove it it wouldn’t budge so he replaced the lock like for like very quickly. Friendly and a quick worker I would recommend him to anyone in this area.

Andy was a very friendly, helpful and efficient. He fitted us in very quickly and came the next day when we had a slight problem that ended up being nothing to do with his work!

We had several different problems with various locks around our house. One doorhandle had a broken spindle, two external double glazed doors were very stiff to lock and unlock, a double glazed window lock refused to open and some of our front door keys worked and some did not. A real variety and all annoying as well as the concern that one day the locks would seize up and not work at all. Andy came promptly to look at all these problems, gave us an afforable quote to cover all the work and then returned swiftly and replaced/mended each one expertly. Professional, friendly and prompt.

Upon returning from a Sunday evening walk I discovered I hadn’t taken the door key with me and was therefore locked out of my house. I called Handy locks for help. The locksmith arrived within 20 minutes and very quickly produced a key to unlock my door. It was such a relief to be able to enter my house, especially as I had thought I wouldn’t find anyone to come out on a Sunday evening!

After calling another supposed local locksmith first for a quote, we decided not to use them, then called Handy Locks who came to look at our lock without a call out fee, talked us through the issue and remedy and with clear pricing, the work was carried out to a high standard and the price was exactly as quoted, would highly recommend.

We needed help to free up a seized mortice lock on a gate and Andy was very helpful. He arrived on time and managed to get the lock to work. He then lubricated the internal mechanism and the lock is now working perfectly. Andy does not charge a call out fee. We’d definitely recommend Andy.

Our front door multi-lock was so stiff I'd had to replace a snapped handle. But I'd heard using the wrong lubricant can jam them even worse. Andy arrived within an hour, recommended GT85 every month or two, and showed us where to spray, and it's now smooth as butter. And when I asked him to check a patio door lock, he found the bolts were loose, so a double win. Could not have done better, thank you.
