Shaping the future and caring for the past. Based in historic Stratford upon Avon, Hawkes Edwards are Chartered Architects working on projects throughout the Midlands and the UK. Projects range from conservation work, conversions, new houses, sustainable buildings and interior design. We are experienced in the design and repair of buildings in stone, brick and traditional oak timber-frame. Established for over 50 years, the practice specialises in high quality individual design and conservative repair. We feel our experience in conservative repair and alterations of all kinds means we are especially skilled in solving design problems, handling sensitive and difficult planning applications, and providing expertise on specialist building, interior design, fittings and furniture. Many projects provide a chance for alteration and conversion of existing buildings to new-build, always with the aim of not only meeting our clients' needs, but giving them an extra quality of 'delight' in the design with bespoke joinery and fittings, including kitchens, bookcases and wardrobes. We also offer a complete Interior Design service, providing a fully co-ordinated design package where required. We believe it takes experience and understanding to make houses that are also a home!
