Highlights
“Paul provided us with an initial quotation and helpful advice on how to address our damp issue, all with no obligation to use hus services. The quote was detailed which gave us the confidence to engage Paul. Throughout the entire process Paul was the consummate professional. The work was completed to a high standard and he ensured mess was kept to a minimum. We wouldn't hesitate to engage Homeguard again if needed and highly recommend his services to others.”
“I needed to check if there was damp in my apartment, thankfully there was not but I would like to highly recommend Paul…he turned up on time (rare these days), was super friendly and a true professional. 10/10!”
“From the moment we contacted Homeguard they were nothing but professional, courteous, trustworthy and personable. They charged £50 for the evaluation that led to a quote and I have to say it was the best £50 we have spent. The £50 is offset the main bill if you have work carried out by them. Once we booked the date the communication from Paul & Jo was first class setting everything out very clearly. Once the job was started Paul was prompt, shared information openly and as impressive as that is, the work has been completed to the highest of standards. We would recommend to everyone.”

We wanted to use Paul for both our survey and potentially the remediation work as well but he very popular and the timeframes didn't quite work out. Despite that, both Paul and Joanne were very helpful with any questions we had.
Paul carried out a prelimatory visit to assess problem in the bathroom. following his instructions the leak has been fixed and I will be calling him back improve the dampcourse after the drying out is complete.
Friendly, easy to deal with, did the job on the dates agreed no last minute shuffling, detailed quote, and work completed on time to a good standard, took care and used protective covers, overall a very good service
Paul came to inspect the problem areas and provided an in-depth, timely report with a quote. Having booked him he arrived on time and worked diligently and cleanly each day with as little disruption and mess and possible. I would highly recommend this family run business.
This the second time we have used Paul to do damp work in our home. Both times his report and quote have been very detailed and informative and he was very accommodating with his time and allowed us to ask questions and helped us make informed decisions with what work we had done. His communication was great before before throughout completing the work. He went to great effort to minimise the disruption and mess caused by the work. The job was completed in the time frame he gave us and to what I feel was a very high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending Paul anyone

Paul is a very professional chap who recently completed a damp proof survey at my property whilst I was aware of various issues I wanted some final confirmation and clarification from an expert in this particular field and what options I had to fix the issues. Whilst there is a very small fee involved eventually I received a detailed report of what problems exist, how to fix them and every thing is laid out in laymen's terms along with diagrams. Would highly recommend. The other reviews are spot on.
Paul was great and completed the work to a high standard. Was on time everyday and was finished by the time the kids returned from school. Was tidy and all round nice guy. Would always recommend this company.
Paul was brilliant. He did a survey and explained everything thoroughly on the report. A new DPC and re-plastering was needed at a very fair price. He completed the work to a very high standard and worked tirelessly to get it done. Very easy to communicate with, very polite and tidy. From beginning to end Paul was superb. I highly recommend this company.
Paul is very professional in all aspects of his work , from start to finish we cannot fault him or his work . Would recommend him to anyone. A job well done , thank you.
Paul recently completed treating a damp problem in our lounge and one of our bedrooms. He initially did a thorough survey, and we received a written report. (There was a very small charge for this, which is deducted from the cost should you decide to go ahead. We didn't mind this at all, as Paul did conduct a thorough survey.) He was friendly and professional; arrived when he said he would; cleared up everything afterwards. All in all I would highly recommend Paul and Homeguard Damp and Timber Ltd. No criticisms at all! One very happy customer.
Paul undertook a damp proof survey at the front and side of the property. He was thorough with his inspection and understanding of the situation, also speaking to a flat owner to answer specific concerns so she was clear about the issues. Paul's report arrived quickly with straightforward solutions and a reasonable quote for a drainage channel. Paul returned to do this work and created a very neat channel along the front and side which I'm very happy with. He left the area very tidy. I would definitely use Homeguard again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them for damp proof works.
Paul and Jo were considerate, helpful and efficient from the outset. Paul supplied a clear and detailed report on works required. He offered realistic advice on how to save money and limit upheaval. Paul was not disruptive whilst here - no loud music! The house stayed incredibly clean and work completed to a high standard with Paul going the extra mile for us. Would definitely recommend!
Paul arrived on time to provide a quote. He was very thorough and explained all the options to us. He produced an excellent report including the issues we were having and the options to solved them. He carries out the work in an efficient and timely manner. He was tidy punctual and kept.Us informed as he was going along. Will.Be using him again soon to do more work in another room. Would definitely recommend this company
I have used this company before when we found rising damp in the back room of our bungalow. I suspected there was damp in the kitchen so contacted Paul immediately. Unfortunately the damp course was no longer effective and the damp was quite extensive. It meant the whole kitchen had to be pulled out and a new one fitted. Paul was punctual, polite and tidy. My plasterer was very impressed with Paul’s work. I have recommended this company to others and will continue to do so.
