Highlights

Jason communicated the likely costs of the work in advance, turned up when he said he would and finished the work in a timely fashion. He then sent the paperwork and bill without needing to be chased. He was very honest and also pleasant to deal with.

CustomerCheckatrade5.0 rating

Jason came at short notice to diagnose and fix a problem I was having with a boiler. It was a complicated technical fault but he resolved it in two hours and the fees were reasonable too. Recommended!

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

House Electrics did a great job replacing light fittings, timer switches and an external sensor light. The work was done swiftly and to a high standard. House Electrics were great to work with and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Jason provided outstanding service when our boiler's fuses blew last November, leaving us without hot water. We had no idea what was wrong, but he arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue quickly, and thoroughly explained everything to us in a way we could understand. His professionalism, helpful attitude, and attention to detail were truly impressive. He worked efficiently to resolve the problem and made sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. Highly recommended!

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
