“I approached House of Builders regarding carrying out some work on our office building. I dealt with Justin, who met me at the property and provided a quote within the timeframe he promised. Once we accepted the quote, everything went to plan from the moment the scaffolding was erected. I received weekly updates and all the work was completed in time, and the builders were always courteous, professional and very tidy. We had to overcome one issue, which only came to light when the scaffolding was erected, but Justin came up with a solution which actually saved us some money. I will be recommending House of Building to others as their work is excellent and they were a pleasure to deal with. Keep up the good work!”
“We contacted House of Building to design and build a new garage on an existing but very old concrete base that covered an equally old large cesspit. Replacement of the concrete base was a potentially risky job requiring great care not to damage the cesspit and to ensure the new base was sufficiently sturdy to withstand the weight of car movements. House of Building did an excellent job of removing the old, cracked concrete, relaying a new solid base, and then constructing a sturdy, wooden-framed, cedar-clad garage to maximise the available space. A new electric supply was laid from the house to the garage to power a new EV point and folding garage doors. All the staff used by House of Building were extremely professional and courteous, carrying out the work with great care and solving any small problems as they arose. The project management was very helpful, with regular visits from the project manager to check on progress and our satisfaction with the work, weekly written reports on progress and cost, and liaison with all the other staff.”
“We contacted House of Building to enquire about the replacement of four loft room windows. The start date for the work was scheduled to meet our needs. Everything happened according to plan and communication was excellent throughout. We were very impressed by all the skilled staff who worked on this project. They were roofers, general builders and decorators. The work was carried out to a high standard, without any delays and everyone was very pleasant to have in and around the house. Justin, our Project Manager, was often on site to ensure that everything was going to plan and we felt that we were fully consulted and informed. We would highly recommend House of Building.”

The weephole insertion went smoothly last week - your guy did a good job. I await your invoice as previously quoted. Separately we have some internal work that needs doing to the house - secondary to having an old airing cupboard and a larger boiler cupboard gutted as part of having an up to date central heating system installed. That’s now all done but the ‘cupboards’ need to be rebuilt. These are walk-in spaces so a much bigger job than it sounds. I’d be grateful if you might be able to come and have a look when you can. This year, I finished my second build project with House of Building. Their professionalism and customer service was absolutely perfect. From scoping out the project, to quoting and managing the build, the team always worked above and beyond to the highest standards. From arriving on time each morning to leaving the site clean every evening and lining up all the services so that the project never stopped moving. Project Management was so efficient, I didn't need to take any time off work and the project was completed in 12 weeks, including 3 new RSJ's, new kitchen, boiler, rads and garden works. I would highly recommend this company.
From initial vist to completion, the service and quality of work was outstanding. Communication was beyond expectations and the process was smooth and stress free. Cannot receommend highly enough. Completely understood and brief and delivered far beyond exceptions.
We had a ground floor rear extension built by House of Building and the service was exceptional. Between our project manager and foreman, everything was covered, nothing was a problem and we always felt in control. We had quite a team of trades throughout the project and everyone was friendly and good to have around the house. Would thoroughly recommend.
We engaged House of Building/Landscaping to completly reconstruct our garden area following removal of some UKPN equipment. From the outset the team presented CGI's of their design intent, listened and accomodated changes and suggestions and then went about the work with absolute professionalism. The team on site were courteous, and dilligent, worked around a living house with young children, ensuring everything was left safe each evening, and provided us with a truly outstanding finished landscape, for the agreed cost and bang on time. A great team for which I have no hesitation in providing reference.

I honestly couldn't recommend these guys highly enough. Our project was substantial completely relandscaping garden (8 weeks worth of work incl massive dig out, fencing, flower beds, turf and big new patio plus more). Their attention to detail is genuinely relentless and unlike anything I have seen. Just as important they are just a real joy to have around - really really good people. Whenever an issue came up their ability to think creatively, and find a solution is really second to none. Kind and pleasant to neighbours and people coming past also. Probably the best decision I have ever made on appointing someone to do work. We have lots more work to do on house in coming years and will definitely use them again
After several recommendations, I was very impressed with how my project was approached. From the very beginning, great care was taken to ensure that every detail was encompassed and had my approval. This led to an excellent result. I would thoroughly recommend this highly professional and efficient company, which went out of their way to ensure that I had complete satisfaction before the work was signed off.
This is the fourth job House of Building have done for me and I would use them again and again. In total, they have done 3 bathrooms, a toilet, 4 bedrooms, a lounge and an office. Very polite, so easy to deal with, no hassle for me dealing with different trades. The standard of work is excellent and any variations in the original spec made by me, are never a problem, always happy to work with the client to ensure full satisfaction. Pricing and invoicing is super transparent, you know exactly what costs what on a spread sheet. Invoicing is weekly, with an updated spread sheet of costs. Highly recommended.

Excellent work completed by House of Building at a very high standard. These guys are great, reliable and what you need to get you through a stress-free project. The best thing I found was that if there was a problem, it was rectified immediately or asap without any fuss. Excellent communication every week and you know where you are financially each week too. Driveway was completed without fuss and an excellent finish. I had other contractors coming and they made sure job was given priority to make sure they finished on time despite missing a day because of heavy rain. Would recommend.
House of the building were absolutely excellent when we had a new kitchen installed 2 years ago. Their part of the work was of excellent quality well coordinated and spot on time. On top of this they worked around and sorted out mistakes by a firm of kitchen fitters who were a different company and one that I wouldnt recommend. Recently a problem arose with a part of the fitter installation so I went straight to the house of building and once again they were excellent- absolutely on the ball and a pleasure to deal with.

It has made such a difference to us to have the extra space & it really wasn't too painful getting it! Bathroom complete refurbishment. Plumbers and electricians did work well but tiling was poor. Some tradesmen watching movie channel when we were not there. Poor excuses about delays but timing of different trades appalling. The kitchen refurbishment begun on March 7th to take 6 weeks still not finished as of June 7th. The first company we have ever had that I would not recommend to friends.
We used HOB for a recent building project to change internal walls / install kitchen and bathrooms. HOB has been excellent throughout from communications, quality of work, attitude of whole team. Choosing a builder for a big project is a stressful decision. But we couldn't recommend David and his team more highly.
