Old gas fire removed and determined options for future

John removed an old gas fire which was not required, tidily and cleanly, and gave advice about the chimney and possible future fires that could be fitted, spending some time investigating possibilities. He was thorough and informative.

Boiler service

I found John through Which Trusted Trader. He came on time, serviced my boiler and did all gas safety checks including my gas cooker at a very reasonable price. He also gave me lots of good professional advice which I appreciated very much. I found him very knowledegable, efficient and polite- the tradesmen you can trust. I am so pleased I found him. John is amazing

John was recommended to me by a friend and he was professional, cheerful and amazing. I couldn't thank him enough and I would thoroughly recommend him to everyone I know. My boiler stopped working and another plumber replaced a part (£600), it still didn't work and then quoted another £250 to try another part. I had decided to change my boiler as even though it's old, it had been reliable up until this instance. I live outside the area that John usually works in, but he came out to me anyway. John worked out the problem with my boiler straight away, he'd already bought a couple of parts that he thought it might be with him and he changed the faulty part there and then for a fraction of what I'd already paid. He also advised that I didn't need a new boiler so I am very grateful that John made a special trip to help me.

Outstanding Service

John carried out a gas safety check and a boiler service at my property. John was exceptionally polite, extremely helpful and an absolute delight to deal with. He took the time to time to answer all of my questions and nothing was too much for him. As I wasn't able to attend the service itself, John took lots of photographs for me which was really great. Even once the work was done, John provided simply outstanding after care. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Professional, efficient and reliable

JH fitted a new boiler with wifi operated thermostat, new radiators throughout our house and a water softening system. JH showed up on time, completed the job efficiently to a high standard and patiently explained how to use the wifi thermostat. Would highly reccomend and use for future boiler services.

Shower pressure & temperature serviced

JH - Bromley, My shower pressure and temperature had not been working for quite some time. I had other plumbers come to look at it and fix it, however, they were unable to find a solution. JH fixed both issues in a timely and efficient manner. He was very nice, did a clean job, and gave me advice on how to better maintain the shower in the future. I would highly recommend his services and will contact him again for any other future jobs.

Our boiler had failed so we were left without heating and hot water. John turned up on the agreed day and time. He quickly identified the fault and sourced the replacement part which he promptly fitted.

Johns' initial email response was quick and he turned up exactly when he said he would. He did a fab job and was pleasant and courteous. Gas Boiler Service by a Brilliant Tradesman.

My elderly sister was having severe problems with a very well known company in that she was continuously being delayed in having her boiler serviced on a regular basis. I was so pleased to have found John Humphries through Which? Trusted Traders. Although being constantly told by the 'Well Known Company' that my sister's boiler was old and needed a new one, John checked her boiler thoroughly inside and out, saying it would carry on for a few more years yet, with spares parts readily available if needed. Being elderly too, should any problem arise, he said he was only a telephone call away to help. (So reassuring) I was very impressed by his professionalism,workmanship,knowledge and it was a pleasure to deal with a tradesman so pleasant and efficient. It is without hesitation that John is to be highly recommended.

Broken boiler fitted in no time!

John fitted my boiler over 15 years ago and this is the first time that I have had an issue. Having called John to seek advice on Tuesday evening, he arrived promptly at 07.30 AM the next day, quickly diagnosed the fault (it was the fan). He ordered the part there and then and collected and fitted it immediately. He cleaned the boiler and the flue and thoroughly tested for any harmful emissions. The boiler fired up straight away - hot water and heating restored! John's work is of the highest standard - the area was left clean and tidy, he is a pleasure to deal with - he even fitted a carbon monoxide detector for safety and the overall cost was much lower then I expected to pay. John has done many planned upgrades in our home but he has also come at short notice to deal with emergencies. This week our boiler failed, once he identified that it was not repairable he arrived at 7:30am the following morning with a new boiler, worked non stop until 7pm & did the same the following day, all with good cheer, to ensure we were without hot water for the least amount of time possible. John explains everything really clearly, gives you options for which route to take & is very careful with your money, never giving you an expensive solution when an economical, but equally good option, is available. John always works to schedule & to budget. John’s attention to detail & diligence are outstanding, nothing is left to chance, everything is checked & re-checked. When he has finished work you have complete peace of mind. Due to a health condition I struggle having people I don’t know in my home, I never have that issue with John, he is a joy to have around, puts you at ease & is the only non family member I have ever left unaccompanied in my home.
