The property is a large detached house which required external walls to be built around a single claypot brick construction. This was a major project which Ian Rice Builders completed to a very high standard. His word of guarantee is his bond. Ian's team built a large extension on the back of our house. His team did a great job and we're very happy with it. Things that stood out for me about Ian are that he's straightforward and easy to deal with, honest and sticks to his word, and when problems come up he's very fair and gets things sorted. I'd definitely use his company again.

Ian Rice was involved in initially preparing groundworks, stone walling and interior finishing for a porch. He made such an excellent job of it that was on time and on budget that when it was decided to build a conservatory he was the preferred craftsman. Ian was fantastic at project managing the building works and suggesting cost saving alternative solutions. As well as his own team, the tradespeople that he used were also very good, friendly and easy to have around the place. Ian was totally trust worthy and committed to helping us achieve the building we wanted. He put a lot of time in working with the architect and engineer at the beginning of the project to reduce overall costs, resulting in a better scheme.

Ian and his team were great from the initial site visit. They were friendly, courteous, patient, hard working, highly skilled and sensitive to our family’s needs during the build. They kept to agreed deadlines and the result and finish is exactly what we envisaged. Ian is knowledgeable, experienced and good at problem solving whilst keeping the client’s budget in consideration. His team including the subcontractors were first rate and he was on site the majority of the time. He would always either answer his phone or get back to u that day and where there were problems along the way he was honest and upfront and worked extra hours to get over them.
