Jimmy and electrician John did a great job replacing our very old boiler. Communication was great and the work was carried out on time and to the cost quoted. New electric cabling was installed in a way that meant no disruption to inside the house. They were very neat and tidy. Jimmy registered the boiler for the guarantee and building control and sent all associated paperwork the same evening as the work was done. Recommended.

Quotation provided in a timely fashion. Compared well with other quotes. Discussed job thoroughly. Completed work on time on specified date and within specification. Competent and diligent.

The job was to install 3 radiators, labour only, I purchased the valves and the radiators. I was home whilst the work took place, he was very neat and tidy. He explained that he would re-use some parts of my existing radiator pipe work rather than the new I had purchased. He also advised me that one of the 3 radiators the one in the bathroom for which I had purchased a branded chrome thermostatic valve would need to remain without a valve. One of the radiators was damaged, I had not seen this and even though I was in the next room he fitted it damaged and showed me the damage after he it installed. The supplier, Wickes told me once it’s fitted it’s deemed fit for use and declined to send a spare part. I was disappointed he did not alert me to the damage and give me a choice prior to fitting it especially as it’s in my 4 year old daughters bedroom. It was only after he left I realised he had taken all the new unused parts I had purchased including the chrome thermostatic valve. We exchanged several text messages where he said he did not have it and concluded he must have accidentally put it in the recycling bin when he left. None of the unused parts I purchased were returned to me . And a day later I found one of the radiators was leaking, he did offer to come round and resolve it but I chose to use another plumber instead.

After having problems with our old boiler we decided to replace with a new boiler system. After having several installers/plumbers come to visit and give us advice and quotes we decided to go ahead with IJHeating . Ian confirmed what we thought.He was reliable,friendly and helpful and the installation was on time and with no hidden costs. The team of three were very professional and we are very happy with our installation and would recommend extremely highly. Would definitely use there services again and will also recommend to friends and family.

I contacted Ian to quote to fit an unvented cylinder. Access to the boiler through walls and ceilings was challenging. Ian was thorough in his assessments, gave me a couple of options to consider and revisited twice to ensure his assumptions and measurements were correct before finalising a fair quote for the option I agreed. He and his team did the work efficiently and quickly. He is reliable, punctual and tidy. I am really pleased with the work, and would highly recommend him.

My regular boiler service engineer was unavailable so I contacted Ian shortly before Christmas to ask whether he was familiar with our boiler for a service. He responded quickly, saying yes, he was familiar with such a boiler and it would probably be after Christmas if that was OK. He emailed in the New Year, checking if I still wanted the service. I was impressed that he got back to me first and we fixed a time. He was punctual, polite and tidy, checking everything thoroughly and responsibly. We were very pleased we found him on Which. Would highly recommend Ian and would call on him again.

If you’re looking for a reliable and honest plumber then look no further. I had a sink leaking which was fixed in under 15 minutes with no mess left. Highly recommend Ian.

I contacted Ian by email and sent him photos of the leaking tap which needed a new cartridge. He replied promptly and gave me a quote but was totally honest upfront about when he could do the job, which would be in a couple of weeks. He turned up as arranged, disconnected the tap in order to find out which cartridge was required and went off to buy one, which he fitted perfectly. He left everything tidy. He was extremely professional and yet friendly. The whole job was done in an hour, including the time he went out to buy the cartridge, and he charged me less than the original quote. I have already asked him to return in a couple of weeks to do another job.

I was let down by a major online retailer who offered fitting as part of their service for an extra cost of £120. I chose Ian for his star rating and background, I was very pleased I did. Ian was able to call round in the afternoon and finish what major online retailer couldn't. The work was to a high standard Ian cleaned up any mess. Ian went above normal standards of service and I felt I could trust him around the flat. Ian also charged less for his services so I won't be using online installation services again.

All the process was smooth from first contact to job done. Ian didn’t try to upsell like others did which I greatly appreciated. He gave quotes for different options and advised what was the best fit for my property. On the day he and his mate were punctual and the job was completed by early afternoon. I would recommend Ian!
