Previously we have had boiler service and now have had old boiler replaced. Very rapid response . Great communication and friendly service. Price was competitive. Overall highly recommended. I have passed their details to a number of people.

Jamie responded quickly to our request to quote for a boiler and system upgrade. The price was competitive with no hidden extras. Dates were set for the install and the guys rolled up at the appointed time, completing a little ahead of schedule. Budget was met. Everything was explained and questions answered in a straightforward manner. Jamie and his team were easy to have around, cleared up afterwards and left us feeling confident we were in safe hands. I'd highly recommend them and have already suggested to a family member that she make use of the McCartney team. Trusted traders indeed.

Very happy with the service Jamie provided. Needed a new boiler which involved a bit of problem solving and Jamie found a better more cost effective solution than I had been advised by anyone else.

I contacted Jamie to install a new boiler for me after my old one packed in. He was professional in all aspects of the service, from sticking to the appointments he made with me, doing what he said he would do when he said he would do it, giving me a lot of confidence that things would go smoothly and in fact they did, which significantly reduced my anxiety levels! The boiler is fabulous, the new HIVE smart thermostat is wonderful and I could not be happier with the work done. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

The work schedule was agreed and proceeded as planned - very positive experience. Follow up checks completed. Jamie was fantastic at talking us through available options and recommending correct size of boiler to suit our needs. He answered all our questions honestly and in full and even took time to explain the controls. Fitting was completed as agreed with minimal mess and disruption and all rubbish was taken away. I used J McCartney (Plumbing & Heating Limited) to install a top of the range boiler and a new radiator for our kitchen which was being redone. Jamie was very efficient. He turned up on time and worked quickly and efficiently and explained throughout the progress he was making. Jamie also put new valves on our older radiators throughout the house which were broken. A year later we have had no issues with the boiler or radiators and we intend to use Jamie in the future. He came highly recommended through word of mouth and lived up to all our expectations.

Jamie had previously fitted a boiler system for me, so I know the standard of his workmanship. I asked him to totally strip back and revamp my upstairs bathroom/shower room. I ordered all materials (with Jamie's recommended suppliers) and he provided all the services, plumbing, tiling, joinery, electrical work and most importantly all waste collection. The results are fantastic and the workmanship is of a high standard. I would have no hesitaion in recommending J.McCartney as a supplier.

I have no hesitation in recommending this company, from estimate to completion this job was handled efficiently and pleasantly at all times. I used this company for a recent new full central heating installation in a large top floor flat. From the initial quote to commissioning the system, Jamie and his team were professional, punctual, hard working and efficient. Communication was excellent, and the job was completed in 3 days. Jamie returned a few days later to check everything was in order and to sign off the system. I'm delighted with the job, and have no hesitation in recommending Jamie and his Company. I will certainly use them for any future plumbing or heating requirements.

We were very unfortunate with the purchase of our first home. Upon receiving the keys we noticed straight away that the boiler was located behind kitchen units and a splashback (which was a health and safety nightmare never mind a practical one). We must have had over 15 gas engineers out to inspect the property but Jamie is the only person who we trusted because he listened to our concerns/ needs, explained everything to us in simple terms and advised us of our options rather than telling us what he wanted to do. Jamie was true to his word and provided a quote and his availability within a matter of hours (knowing we needed the job completing ASAP to allow us to move into our new home). Jamie visited our second floor flat in busy street on three occasions. First occasion to remove the old boiler in order to allow the joiner to prepare the space. Second occasion to install the boiler and drill a new flue hole (new boiler was in a new location). Third occasion to check the boiler was working and complete a chemical flush. On all occasions Jamie was very professional, he removed any rubbish (including the old boiler) and left the place clean and tidy. Jamie respected our home, listened to and answered our concerns and helped us in our time of need and for that we are grateful. We are looking forward to moving into our new home and will 100% be using his services on a yearly basis to service the boiler and any other plumbing jobs we require. We would 100% recommend Jamie.

Jamie has now installed 2 boilers and a mixer shower at 2 rental properties. In every aspect of his work Jamie is calm, efficient and highly professional. He attended the properties, called to offer his advice and provided written detailed quotes promptly, giving dates when he could carry out the work. He arrived as arranged and carried out each job for the price quoted. When one of the old boilers broke down he even offered to provide electric heaters to the Tenant until the new boiler could be fitted - much appreciated. After the installation, all necessary documentation for guarantees and Landlords Certificates were forwarded to me. I would not hesitate to recommend Jamie to anyone.

I inherited an old boiler when I bought my home, it was never quite right but Jamie did a great job servicing it and keeping it going. This year it finally gave up and I had no hesitation in asking Jamie to see if it could be fixed and, if not, quote for a replacement. He responded quickly to my email, arrived when he said he would, checked out the old boiler and, as it wasn't economical to fix, booked in a date to install a replacement. He provided some advice on the options and a couple of quotes. I checked out the options myself and discussed with a friend down south who had a new boiler recently, we concluded Jamie had recommended the right option for me and the quotes were very reasonable and professionally presented. Jamie completed the installation quickly and efficiently, he took all the rubbish away and left the work area tidy, provided comprehensive paperwork and answered all the questions I had. It was the middle of lockdown and I was completely reassured by his attention to safety and respect for me and my home. He returned a couple of weeks later as planned, to check the filter and flush the heating system, again he arrived on time and completed the job quickly and efficiently. I am delighted to recommend Jamie as a trustworthy, reliable and professional tradesman.

Jamie installed a new boiler, changed a mixer shower, and sorted out a couple of stubborn radiators for us. He responded to our queries promptly, arrived on time and did a very professional job within the time frame and budget quoted. Would highly recommend.
