John decorated our kitchen and extension. Both my wife and I were very impressed with his workmanship, service and general flexibility during these difficult times we find all our self in right now. The finished product was fantastic and we will be definitely be using John again.

Decorated, painted walls, beams woodwork and built a matching cupboard. Super pleased with front bedroom. Its looks fabulous. Happy for him to start on the next room. Always respectful of you and your home and left it clean after.

Painted exterior of my house. Amazing job done in a timely manner at a fantastic price. Even did extra jobs such as rendering, cleaning the guttering and changing a rotten window. Will definitely use again.

This is the third time we've used John for work in our home and as usual he didn't let us down. John kept us informed throughout the project letting us know about timescales, any potential issues and costs. He turns up when he says he will and always tidies up after himself before leaving for the day. This was the biggest job we've asked John to do (renovating two bathrooms and a downstairs toilet) but his estimate was pretty much spot on and all the work has been done to a very high standard. There wasn't much John couldn't do but when we needed a qualified electrician for certain jobs, he put us in touch with a friend who was out the next day. I would recommend J P Guthrie to anyone looking for someone to carry out decorating or building work in their home.

I would highly recommend John I had some work done at the beginning of the year and he did an excellent job this has been my second time using John and he always delivers the highest standards and always goes that extra mile. I will definitely be using John again for future work.

I have now had my house fully decorated and updated by John. This has been completed to the highest standard. John’s work is of an amazing quality and he is extremely thorough. His attention to detail is like no other. No job is too big or too small for John and he willingly and enthusiastically takes on even the most complex issues and tackles with determination. John tiled our kitchen and utility. From first contacting him, he came out to quote for the job and gave us lots of helpful advice. He removed the existing tiles and then came out again to remove existing worktops to coincide with our new ones being fitted. During the work, John and his colleague were professional, reliable, helpful and extremely tidy. He organised the dates to fit in with our schedule. I would definitely recommend him and his colleague. They did an excellent job!
