I selected the various furniture items and Dave advised on suitability - this allowed me to shop around and get best prices. Quote for fitting was competitive - much more cost effective doing it this way than the 'fancy bathroom company' I approached last year, and I really can't imagine how the end result could have been any better - the end result is fantastic, we're really pleased with it. All aspects of the brief were delivered to a high standard, desired timescale and to budget.”

Professional and easy to work with!
We needed our bathroom completely renovated and it's a really old house. Had a look on Which Trusted Traders and J Smith & Sons came up. We got several quotes but they were by far the most accommodating, stretching to meet our tighter budget. Some people were charging crazy prices. They kept in contact throughout the process, helping us pick things and get what we need. When it came to doing the bathroom, one thing that really stood out - they were really really punctual. Turning up been 8am and 8:30am every day, they proper cracked on! We had our morning chats about what needed to be done and I mostly left them to it! They discovered problems along the way because it's an old house, but came up with perfectly reasonable solutions and just got on with it! My partner and I have a 1-year-old so she had to move out for a little bit at her mum's, but they really made sure to get it done quickly and to a good standard. Got the old bathroom tore out and the new one fully installed in exactly two weeks! Incredibly fast. Really good result and the finishing on the new bathroom is definitely high quality. They're one big family-run business and all really nice, easy to get on with. No complaints at all and great all round. Would use again.

Very responsive and efficient
Needed replacement electric shower unit. Texted Dave Smith - he replied within 90 min, could come round the next morning for a look (fairly local). Texted a reasonable quote back that afternoon and offered to fit in the job the next day. Polite, wore overshoes, completed in 90 min or so, and left the area clean. We were very pleased. He was quick and responsive and we would certainly use him again.

Reliable and professional
New boiler needed at a rented property. Smiths quoted a fair price, attended when they said they would, carried out the work to a high standard and invoiced correctly and quickly. Everything you want especially as a landlord who had to deal with everything over the phone. Tenant is very happy. Highly recommend this company.

Highly recommend.
J Smith and Sons were recommended to me by a neighbour and I am so pleased I used them. Dave removed the old water tank and boiler and replaced it with a combi and put in a new radiator for me. All of the work was completed on time, he tidied up after himself each day and I am so happy with the result. I was dreading having it all done but it was nowhere near as bad and messy as I thought I'd be. A fair price for a great job, always in contact, turns up when he says he will and does a nice clean job, what more do you need!!

Great all round
J Smith and Sons (Chingford) installed a bathroom in what had been a bedroom. So it was quite a complex project. The work was completed to a high standard, to schedule and to agreed price. Very tidy and considerate, offering helpful design and other ideas and solutions where our imagined plan could be improved upon. Smooth and reliable communications throughout. Also very reliably care for our boiler. Thoroughly recommend.

Always great work and easy to work with
We started with a new boiler install a year ago and ended up getting all of our work done by J. Smith and Sons. We had an extension built and Dave renewed the mains supply, worked with our builders to provide new wastes and supplies, fitted underfloor heating, a water softener, new radiators and new under stairs W.c It was always easy to schedule in the work around the builders and when we got back at the end of the day the house was always just as we’d left it if not cleaner!
