John was great from his initial visit to completing the work, very promptly and to a great standard. We are very pleased! He was polite and tidied up well after himself. I’d definitely recommend John!
John has done a fantastic job of repairing our rotten doors, the work matched the quote and so did the invoice. John is super friendly and very tidy, he turned up exactly on time and the work was completed as promised. Highly recommend him.
John has been outstanding in custom making beautiful shaker doors for my kitchen. He’s also made adjustments to my kitchen worktop and cabinets so that I can finally move my fridge/freezer into the kitchen. I have greatly valued his expertise in helping me transform my kitchen and cannot recommend him more highly. I will definitely use his services again.
Experienced carpenter good at his job
Very professional, polite and was a pleasure to hire for the job. Did the job at the agreed price and cleaned up when finished. Very happy with end result and will hire again if other jobs need doing.

I recently had the pleasure of hiring John to install 8 doors and replace the existing stair rail, banister and spindles with new at my mums house. I can't express how happy she was with the outcome. His attention to detail and quality workmanship truly stand out. Throughout the process, John was exceptionally proactive in keeping us updated, ensuring we were informed at every stage. His communication was frequent and clear, making everything seamless and enjoyable. Moreover, he was tidy and efficient, leaving the work area clean after each day. On top of his skills, John is a genuinely nice person to work with, which made the experience even more pleasant. I’m looking forward to collaborating with John on my own project and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality workmanship! Thanks John!
I have found such good people from this website, and John of Knotswood Interiors was another. Professional and polite, the house was cleaner when he finished than when he started. He gave helpful advice and went out of his way to match door furniture and floorboard to our old house. As well as hanging a new door, installing a cat flap and repairing wooden floor, John also created a wooden access door panel into a wall. Fitted perfectly and looks original. Friendly and approachable so we felt we could ask those daft layman’s questions. Even took on some unscheduled smaller jobs that we invented after he arrived. Great to have a fixed quote that was honoured and we felt was good value. We’ll ask John back and would recommend him with no reservations. I’m going to sound a bit ‘old style’ here, but it was so refreshing to have someone who comes exactly on time, does not need a loud radio on, does not use profanity (at least while in our house) and didn’t need two hour lunches!
John is reliable, turning up when promised and very tidy and efficient when carrying out the work. Always happy to answer questions. He fitted new doors to an existing fitted wardrobe and I was very happy with his work. I would definitely recommend him.

John is everything you want from a trade. Comes when he says, does what you want and charges what you've agreed. Job done. PS. He's a nice chap as well!
John fitted some new interior doors and changed the arrangement of them for us. He also constructed a substantial new guitar storage unit and another cupboard. His work was exemplary and his advice was welcome and very sound. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
