Matt installed my gas boiler in 2022 and has since carried out 3 annual services. I haven't had any issues or problems with my boiler, heating or hot water. He is extremely reliable, punctual and efficient. He completes the Service & Interim Boiler Work Record and ensures I am in receipt of Domestic Homeowner Gas Safety Records. I would highly recommend Light & Sons Gas Services. I know exactly when the next boiler service is due and who will be doing the work!

Matty is my gas plumber and he does work for all my family and friends I would recommend him to anybody he is polite punctual and very clean I rang him on a Sunday for my uncle who is 84 years old with a blocked sink he came out straight away it was a a frozen pipe and he solved the problem

I called matthew out to my boiler as it wasnt working. He was highly recomemded from a friend. He asked some basic questions over the phone and explained what the problem could be. He explained his costs upfront which where very resonable. He arrived on time and was very polite. Once he had looked at the boiler he took the time to explain the issue. It required a new part. He explained how much it would be to replace and he even had the part on the van which was a bonus. He fixed the boiler and tested it to make sure it had no more issues. I was very impressed with the service prpvided and I will be using matthew for all my gas and plumbing work from now on.

Matty - Fantastic job, complete new boiler install, very impressed with his work. (July 2023) - (Jan 2026) We asked Matty to come and install us a combi boiler, house was getting completely redesigned, Matty - as per building design install and re-routed pipework inline with our building plans, never had an issue, Matty comes every year to service it, we have a calendar reminder set up with him. highly recommend - trusted and never let us down, whole family now use him for all Gas and pluming requirements.

We have been using Light & Sons for 5 years now, we've had a range of services from a brand new heating system installation to boiler servicing. We have always been happy with the standard of work done. Recent work involved a boiler service, weather compensation kit and magnetic filter installation at a new build property. This job was done to a professional standard, Matt identified some important issues that we weren't aware of, thankfully we were able to report these issues back to our developer to get them rectified ASAP. This was a job for an elderly relative who can be quite anxious about dealing with anything like this. I knew Matty through a friend and knew he was has registered plumber. We got some online quotes, Matty was our only in person quote and he was competitive with the others. Due to the connection my relative preferred Matty’s quote along with the guarantee package that she could opt for. Matty was happy to deal with me in the main but I know my relative was happy with how he dealt with her enabling her to control her anxiety. When I attended it was clear Matty liked to work clean and tidy as possible. I was really grateful with how Matty dealt with my mother in law and put her mind to rest on different things without being condescending or dismissive of her. I was pleased with his work and so was my relative.

Matt has serviced my boiler a number of years now. He has also done small plumbing jobs for me. Always there when giving a date/time tho sometimes he is held up on another job but will message to let you know. Would I recommend Matt,yes,without hesitation.
