Excellent job and good communication
Fair value quote for consumer unit replacement and new bathroom light and illuminated cabinet and fan fitting. Director visited to give a quote and talk through what was needed, with no heavy sales pitch or upselling. Flexible around installing some pieces I'd bought, and sourcing other parts themselves. Good communication and crucially they turned up when they said they would. Tenants report that they are very happy with the work.
Friendly, Thorough and Honest Service
Sam was a punctual, friendly and thorough engineer - he undertook a safety check of the electrics in our new house in an honest way and didn’t seek out problems. Alfie and Tony were very helpful in advising us before Sam came round. They delivered the top quality service we were looking for. Would recommend!

Fitting a new oven
Excellent work - little fuss. Really pleased that we selected L and K. Alfie did an excellent job of fitting our new oven and adding a safety plug. Would recommend and happy to call on L and K's services in the future.
Great to work with
Alfie carried out (at short notice) an electrical condition survey on a property I was intending to buy, and after we moved in he and Sam came and spent two days working solidly to deal with the issues identified, as well as making some changes I asked for. The work, which included the installation of a new consumer unit and replacement of a large number of ceiling spotlights to meet safety requirements, was done efficiently and tidily. Alfie kept me informed throughout, and it was easy having them around. Given that it was two days' work for two people, and there was a significant quantity of materials to factor in, I thought the cost was fair. I'll be very happy to call upon Alfie again as and when the need arises.
Prompt, professional, price ok, too
We had an electrical cable put in for a new cooker with electric ovens. Since no one wants to buy a big new appliance and not even be able to turn it on, it was important that Alfie showed up to assess the job the very next day, and was able to schedule it almost immediately. His employees were punctual, efficient, tidy, considerate, and skillful, as well as entirely pleasant. Given that the work took 6-7 hours for a two-man team and the materials were pricey, I thought the cost was reasonable. They even helped figure out that we were never going to get the ovens to turn on if we didn't set the cooker's clock! I could have been bashing my head against the wall for hours otherwise.
Electrical-great work
Completed the work booked to be completed pretty fast. I was notified of initial delay to the time electrician (Alfie) was due to arrive - no half day waiting for arrival. Saved me waiting time and a parking permit with one person staying in the vehicle to avoid any parking tickets.
Excellent work from London&Kent
I had a new light switch and cord installed in my bathroom. The job was completed to a high standard and I would certainly use London&Kent again for any electrical work in my flat.
Efficient and responsive
Alfie fixed a faulty wire to my cooker and replaced bathroom spots. He was very quick responding, helpful, friendly, reliable and found time to do the work at short notice. The work was completed professionally. I couldn't have asked for more!

London & Kent Ltd are a family run business with family values. We have been established since February 2014 and are striving to become the contractor of choice to fulfil the electrical needs for people in the south-east. Based in Greenwich, we carry out work as far as Brighton, Ashford and Surrey. There's not much we don't do. Rewires, fuse box changes, electrical testing, EICR/Landlords Certificates are our day to day business. We also carry out more site-specific specialist projects in prestigious locations such as a street lighting project on The Strand in Westminster and an exterior lighting project at The Cheese Grater building in the City. As you can see from our reviews, customer service and value for money are subjects which play a significant role in how we function as a company.
