“Had to contact a roofing company due to a leak in the canopy over a bay window, which resulted in water staining to ceiling inside. The weather was particularly heavy rain at the time and I was panicking that the whole ceiling would come down. Matt got back to me promptly after me leaving a message outlining the problem, he advised what my options were but due to heavy workload, a full repair could not take place for a few weeks, he did say that he could get it sealed and made watertight to tide us over. Next day Joe and Jo arrived, both very friendly and pleasant, completed a repair, showed me photos of the leaks and left the area tidy. It has given me piece of mind until I can get them back in the New Year to fully replace the canopy. Thankyou Matt and team.”

I invited the company to quote for a small gutter repair & rectify a loose ridge tile caused by a scam roofer who had been up on my roof a few days earlier. It was refreshing to get a decent honest person at last after a number of failed attempts to find someone to do a decent job. Matt was armed with a drone and was able to do a thorough inspection of my roof and whilst it did not need immediate work it showed signs that remedial work would be required at some point in the not to distant future. No pressure selling simply facts for me to make a decision. I decided to go for the quote to repair all ridges and gulleys. The quote was competitive compared to alternatives that I got. It was extremely hot and sunny which made working on the roof an unpleasant experience for the guys - they sweated buckets. They worked extremely hard. Very respectful. On time. They also did the same on my neighbour immediately after finishing my house. Both of us are pleased with the outcome.
Matt was very prompt, turning up for the quote and the subsequent work on time as agreed. Matt & Joe were great listeners, asked good questions and made sensible suggestions about the best solution for our needs. The quote was more than I expected, but Matt was happy to go through the costs and explain where the extra costs came from ... mainly my choice of more expensive materials! The standard of work completed was very high. They took care with every stage and even added some nice finishing touches, which were outside the original scope, at no extra cost. Be clear what you want and you'll get what you asked for.
Very impressed with the punctuality and hard work by Matt’s team. Polite and respectful of the property. Kept me updated and happy to answer questions. All work done in timely manner and showed me final work with photos from the top of the roof. Would highly recommend as safe and excellent company.

During the high winds we heard the coping stone come down the roof. The following day I contacted Matt Merry Roofing, who responded quickly requesting a picture of what had happened. From these two photos, Matt knew what was needed, and had got hold of the materials within a couple of days. I was messaged regularly regarding timescales for fitting, what was needed and of course cost, which was fair and sensible. The work was completed professionally and my experience of using Matt Merry Roofing is complete satisfaction. Thank you and highly recommended.

Matt has completed 3 jobs for me: the largest being removal of a dormer window, reconstructing that part of the roof and re-tiling - all of which was done to a high standard. He has also re-covered an extension roof and more recently smaller repairs to other areas. Matt is reliable and discusses options for the work needed before quoting.

I cannot recommend this company enough , very polite and professional , the work was done in a brilliant time manner and it was kept up to date through the whole process , absolutely brilliant

Excellent service for the team, highly recommend and I’d definitely use them again.
Matt and his team came out to me promptly for a small issue. I was recommended this company by a neighbour who says Matt had carried out many jobs over some time and was brilliant and what he does and we weren’t disappointed. Matt was professional, friendly, very fairly priced and his work was immaculate! Would recommend, and will be using again!
From the outset Matt has been a pleasure to speak with. Straightforward quote and working with his colleague, Matt got the work done in the time he estimated and to a high standard. Will be calling them again in the future if more work needed.
Very polite, the work was done perfectly, everywhere was left spotless, all the rubbish was taken a couple of days later. Would highly recommend 👌
Communication was poor from the get go. Took a while and some chasing to get the initial quote in. Once the work had been completed he left all the rubbish beside my driveway which wasn’t cleared until a week later. Most messages went unanswered and emails were bouncing back. When he finally responded he told me that he’d been abroad and so he couldn’t use his phone. I wouldn’t have expected emails to be bouncing back though he could have had an out of office response. Added to all this the roof isn’t fully draining when it rains. He promised to come and have a look but never showed up
