Quality efficient painting
Mike provided a very reasonable quote for the job quickly. The work was started with little lead-up time for Mike, which I very much appreciated as it meant the job could be completed before Christmas. The work itself was very good, neat and tidy and refreshed the bathroom and bedrooms painted. Mike was respectful of my home and left the space with no mess. Mike is friendly and communicative. Will be using again when needed. Have recommended to friends

Best ever painter and decorator
We contacted Mike Barrett as he is a Which? Trusted Trader in Liverpool, not knowing really what to expect in terms of cost, hours worked and so on. We had to wait six weeks for him to start. It was well worth the wait. He arrived on time, eight am, with all his equipment, started work and, apart from the occasional tea or coffee, carried on until five thirty pm. His standard of work was excellent, even to cleaning up after himself each day. We felt so secure with him, that we would go out and leave him to his work, knowing that he would not stop, or waste time. We bought the paint and he painted. As for cost, reasonable would be an understatement. We had budgeted for a couple of hundred more that he quoted, so couldn’t have been more pleased. He stuck to his quote. So, if you are in Liverpool, need a painter, go with Mike Barrett. No frills, no-nonsense, just honest, quality work at a decent price.

Another excellent creation
Mike wallpapered my rear room with reliefed anaglypta and then painted the walls, skirting boards etc. This was after thorough preparation. The end result? Perfection! I have used Mike's services before so knew what to expect

Pure Excellence
If you’re in the Liverpool area, and your need your house painting, go to Mike. He’s painted every room in our house, and his work his excellent. He charges a great rate, works incredibly hard, and the end result is superb. I can stand and look at the quality of his work for hours, and every visitor comments on the high quality. We’d never go anywhere else. More than recommended.

Outstanding
We came across Mike when he decorated both my sisters and parents house. His attention to detail is second to none. His prep was meticulous and the finish in the rooms he has done for us is perfect. He is punctual, courteous and a stickler for details which is what makes him the best decorator we have come across in our lives. Incredible value for the cost of the job. We would recommend Mike to anyone in need of a painter/decorator
We hired Mike to decorate a nursery. He completed wallpaper stripping and a thorough preparation of the walls. He put up lining paper and painted the room, windows and and all woodwork. We could not be happier with his work! Mike is efficient and pays great attention to detail. He clearly takes pride in the work and it shows. This was all for a very reasonable price. Excellent Job Done
Mike was contracted to paint the entire hall of my house. The job lasted eleven days. He was extremely punctual, arriving at 0815 and leaving at 1800 every day. I cannot fault Mike's work. He is a consumate professional and the end result of his efforts is truly splendid. In fact it is the best decorating job I have ever experienced. Mike was always courteous, friendly, unobtrusive and very tidy. Thanks for a good job well done!

Hall decoration

Would highly recommend
Mike is excellent and professional. He did a good job with stripping all the old wallpaper from our property. He was hard working, started early and left late, and was committed to the job. I was comfortable leaving him to work on the property and I didn't feel that I needed constant reassurances. He left the property in a clean condition. I would certainly use Mike again in the future and would highly recommend him.
