I needed exterior windows /render to be painted. I choose M&L, due to good online reviews, competitive pricing, and ability to meet my timescales. I liked Mark when we met, so I also asked him to redecorate five rooms within my house as well. He was able to commit so I went ahead, unfortunately due to a delay by the scaffolders, I was concerned that Mark wouldn’t be able to complete on time. Mark and Luke worked very hard to regain lost time and ended finishing all the work ahead of the original schedule. Work was still done to an excellent quality. They were friendly, and easy to work with.

Regret using this company to wallpaper a couple of walls in my house. Firstly getting it booked in was a pain, alot of chasing up, arrived an hour late, kept forgetting to remove shoes (my carpets are white!), sloppy job done with visible gaps between the strips, rushed the job (took 2 hours for a job others had quoted as needing at least half a day), used more wallpaper rolls than was necessary (likely due to the rush-job, so no time taken to measure properly), left us with wallpaper paste on the walls that we’re still struggling to get rid of! I paid promptly on the promise of them rectifying any issues that may pop up (their offer). Lo and behold, when I raised the issue of the gappy wallpaper job, I was met with a bunch of deflection by the trader, how the gaps are due to the “wallpaper quality”, “having windows open when it was drying”? “Having a radiator on”…the list of possible excuses went on and on. Embarrassing and disappointing.

M & L Painters and Decorators painted my window frames inside and out and I would recommend them without hesitation. They arrived promptly to quote for the work and did an excellent job painting the windows. They were polite, worked extremely hard, with an attention to detail and tidied up at the end of each day. A pleasure to have them working in my house.
