We had a deck installed and the team insisted that it didn't need posting into the ground...and instead used pieces of stone piled up to support the deck at various points. This concerned us so we complained to the team and they returned to post in the far corner where the stones were placed on soil. This was just a wooden post into the ground. However, since the work the stones at the other corner have shifted and the deck is now very unstable. In addition the team insisted a weed membrane was not required but we have had a weed problem ever since. Especially during daffodil season!
