“I have used this company for a number of years. I initially had many of the floors in my house laid with timber. Recently we noticed that general wear and tear had discoloured them paticularly at the front and patio doors. We contacted Pete and asked him to replace the damaged timbers. He said he could be it would not look right as new timber against old. Makes sense. He suggested rubbing down the timbers to removes the marks and do the same to the whole floor. The he covered them in oil. When that was dry he polished them. He did dining room, sitting room and hallway and corridor. It looks brilliant. My wife and I are chuffed to bits. Great advice Pete and great work. Not only that Pete then helped me to move furniture back which he didn't need to do!! First class service. Thank you.”

“Five star review for a five star job, extremely happy with the final finish and the whole process to be honest. The quote was broken down into sections which made it easy to understand what we were paying for. Pete was very patient whilst we made our minds on on brand and style, he offered advice on brands to use but wasn't pushing any particular Brand. There was no drama when we asked for a couple of late changes either. I summary a straight forward quote, Pete did exactly what he said he within the time scale quoted. Would 100% recomend him to family and friends.”

Peter repaired a water damaged corner of our wooden floor in our lounge . We were impressed by his attention to detail and would thoroughly recommend him.
Peter was very professional and hes work is very precise and he was choosing the nicest parts to put then on visible places .. he didn’t rush at all he was taking his time to make the floor best possible.. and he is very friendly and honest person .. higly recommend him !! Peter was amazing! I cannot recommend him highly enough. He restored floor boards in two bedrooms from a very sorry state to the beautiful finish in the photo. He also did a wonderful job of boarding and laying Kardean flooring in my shower room. He is very knowledgeable and gave me great advice and ideas about my floors. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently. He is a lovely man too, who I was more than happy to leave in my house. I was amazed there was absolutely no dust! I am beyond delighted.🤩

Very professional and experienced, kept everthing clean and dust free, the quote was chepaer than the competitor. End result just fantastic would recommend.
We have just had Pete in our house for 2 weeks, restoring the original wood flooring in 5 rooms. From enquiry to finish Pete has been extremely knowledgeable. Upon enquiry he visited our house and told us the specific type of reclaimed floorboards that we would need, the exact amount and width. This was extremely helpful and we were able to obtain what was needed fairly easily (after a bit of research!). Pete had a job and a half in some of the rooms as our house had not been cared for previously. He painstakingly, room by room, brought them back to life. No job seemed too difficult, from pulling staples to packing joists. He was also extremely clean and tidy, not a speck of dust left anywhere. He has completely transformed these rooms and to top it off, he is a really nice person as well that you don't mind having in your house! Thank you so much Pete for your hard work and effort (and your amazing stories! What a great life you have). I will recommend you to everyone I know.
Peter was always polite, professional and trustworthy. He always arrived on time and was happy to answer any questions and advice on maintenance and aftercare. We had our large dining room, office and hallway oak floor refurbished. We decided to stay with family on day 2&3 to allow the floors to dry in between coats. We were more than happy to leave Peter with a key to our home. He kept us updated on progress and sent pics of the finished floors. We would 100% recommend Northants Timber Flooring. We are so pleased with our floors, they look amazing, better than when they were first fitted 14 years ago. Thank you Peter
We rarely leave reviews but the reason that we asked Peter to lay our floor was after reading the reviews left by previous customers. Our project was difficult as the house had non-parallel walls, exposed stonework and pillars in the middle of the floor. From first contact with Peter, he was very knowledgeable, professional and provided superb advice. He installed a large area of Engineered Oak wooden floor as well as underfloor heating before buffing and oiling the floor as well as finishing with a lovely Scotia trim. Peter's attention to detail, superb work ethic and genuine dedication to match the outline of the stonework is testimony to a true professional craftsman. If you are looking for someone to trust with your floor then save yourself a lot of time and just book Peter.

I had my floor laid last week, it was a big job covering 6 rooms and it took 4 days. The finished product has by far exceeded all expectations I had, its beautiful and completely seemless. Pete took the time to go over the finer details that have made all the difference, explaining that the floor would look better if laid in a different direction even though I knew this would mean more work for him. He is a true professional and not once did I feel like I had a workman in my home, he is fantastic at what he does and I couldn't recommend him enough.
We were a bit anxious pulling up the carpet to find out what the floor beneath looked like. Initially it was a mess, but after 3 days hard work, sanding, repairing, replacing a few bits and polishing, we’re very happy. Peter was polite, professional, thorough, and clearly takes pride in his work. He was very tidy and despite all the sanding, left no dust or mess. His first quote was accurate and helpful; the job ended up costing more because of necessary repairs, as we had been advised to expect. He managed to replace some timber that was damaged or previously poorly repaired, and craft a hearth- surround to finish the edge. Really pleased and would recommend.
Amazing attention to detail, we have untrue walls and many awkward areas. This is the third time we have had wooden flooring laid and this is the first time we have no areas to hide as it has all been finished to such a high standard which is hard to see in the photo. A lovely person (Pete) to have in your home and we would highly recommend this company. The cost was so reasonable and the end result has exceeded our expectations.
