Great work
I would highly recommend Phillip and Scott. They are professional, polite and also a source for further ideas! Their work is absolutely spot on, they pay attention to detail and take pride in their work. The level of detail in their quotes is really welcome as you know exactly what the plan is and they're happy to amend things on the fly. They appear expensive but once you realise what you're getting for it, the level of effort for the preparation and effort, they're not actually hugely more expensive than others.

Short-notice redecoration
We had a roof leak that had been fixed, but had left staining and damage to the plaster. We needed to get this fixed in a hurry. PH Decorating came round the next day and were able to fit it in around other things really quickly. Scott did a beautiful job and worked really hard. He was also extremely tidy and careful. Very highly recommended.

Top quality decorators
Philip and Scott did an excellent job at our house. The attention to detail in the preparation work was exceptional, really above and beyond. Such that it will not need to be decorated again for many years. At the time I did not appreciate the importance of the preparation element but once the job was finished it really looked fabulous. No stone left unturned. We have used other decorators before who are less expensive but the quality of work was not there. I am 100% sure that we have saved money in the long run. I would recommend them without hesitation.

High quality service and workmanship
A professional service from initial quote to completion of work. Great care taken in protecting our furniture and belongings from dust and paint. Excellent communication throughout the project. Respectful and courteous men who arrive on time, work hard and stick to timescales. Very thoughtful and considerate in terms of the needs of our family whilst having painters in our home for over a week. Highly recommend PH Decorating - an absolute pleasure to work with.

Very very impressive work
The job was to strip a room of woodchip wallpaper which had been on the walls for at least 35 years, repair any imperfections left, prepare the woodwork and paint the room. Philip and Scott (with John on a couple of days) arrived punctually every day and worked solidly. We immediately felt comfortable having them in the house (the dog liked them too and thankfully they liked him), to the point where we left them to lock up in the afternoon. Their preparation was more thorough than I've ever seen and the end result was amazing. The preparation took a little longer than anticipated due to the condition of the walls once the woodchip had been removed. This meant that the job as a whole took longer, but Philip kept us informed at every stage. They were really helpful and removed dust sheets and moved furniture for us so we could sit in comfort over a weekend instead of using kitchen chairs. I would have no hesitation in recommending these decorators. They were tidy, worked hard and produced an end result which was very, very impressive.

Decoration
My ideal of a great service is lots of detailed preparation, attention to detail, and a fine finish, showing off this work in the lounge and kitchen. Help and advice in the lead up to the work helped enormously, and again, very detailed costings gave me clear guidance on the plans for the rooms. Very helpful people around the house, too, and a pleasure to see all the hard work pay off. Highly recommended.

Brilliant job!
I've never used any trades people who have been close to as tidy and precise. All work done was to an incredibly high standard. Their attention to detail was second to none and they really worked with us to make sure we got the best outcome possible. They were especially fantastic about working around the young children in the house, e.g. avoiding loud noises during nap times. Couldn't be happier!

Hall stairs and landing painting and decorating
Phillip and Scott came to decorate my very large hall stairs and landing this spring. He was very highly recommended by friends and family. As a lady living alone it’s very important to me to have trust worthy workmen in my home.Phillip and Scott worked to a very high standard indeed .They are both perfectionists and take a great deal of pride in their work.It was a pleasure to have them work in my home I am delighted with the job and look forward to having them back in the future.

Great work with fantastic results
I have used P H Decorating twice recently to paint the hall, stairs & landing plus 2 downstairs rooms. The communication throughout was excellent and I was kept informed of any changes to timings (sooner than anticipated for the first job which was nice) with plenty of notice. They were very flexible to accommodate plastering work being completed before they could start. The quality of the finish is excellent but this reflects the time taken in preparation and the attention to detail. I was given really good advice during the work which I'm glad I took as it made a real difference to the finish. When there was a slight issue with framing (due to the paint I had provided) it was sorted with no problems or quibbles. Philip & Scott could not have been more helpful or accommodating and it was a pleasure to have them in the house. The quote was not the cheapest but I'm very glad I decided to use them as the standard of work is well worth it. I would have no hesitation in using them again nor recommending them to anyone else.

Great transformation.
Philip and Scott have done a great job on my bedroom and living room. I had not decorated these rooms since I moved in 5 years ago so wanted to get it right. From the start, Philip's communication was excellent and he pointed me towards good finishes and colours. The work was carried out within the time scale indicated and I was always informed each day when they would be back. They are easy to get on with and quite simply work extremely hard. The result is a real pleasure, lovely finishes and as always meticulous attention to detail. I am very pleased. So much so that they will be returning to transform my hall stairs and landing later in the year!

Extremely Professional Job
Phil & Scott are simply the best in my opinion. They are very thorough, clean and tidy. The final finish of all their work is fantastic and lasts for a long time. They prepare all the walls, architraves, skirting boards etc properly and even between coats. I would always use and reccommend them.

Superb Work
My husband and I have used Philips services (PHD Decorating) several times now. Firstly he is very friendly but professional. He is extremely thorough, ensuring proper preparation of all surfaces resulting in a high end finish to all his decorating. He is also extremely tidy. We would have no hesitation to recommend him. You have to book well in advance!

A really great job.
Philip and Scott have done some decorating for me before, so I had no hesitation in asking them to do work on the exterior of my house. They have transformed it. Their meticulous preparation and attention to detail just makes all the difference. Philip knows instinctively what will work best and his ideas only add to the excellent outcome but he always takes the time to discuss the work with you. In addition, they are thoroughly nice people, which makes the experience of having them round the house an extremely positive one. I have requested that they come back to do some more decorating for me and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them one hundred percent.

Excellent, wouldn't hesitate to recommend and use again
We reached out to Philip and Scott to re-decorate more or less our whole house, and they were both excellent from start to finish: (i) the program of work and the materials/effort estimates were detailed and accurate; (ii) they offered helpful ideas and insight based on their experience; (iii) they communicated well; (iv) they turned up exactly when they said they would every day and got straight down to work; and, (v) most importantly, the quality and attention to detail is excellent and everything we hoped it would be. The house looks like a million bucks and the little touches that we weren't expecting (e.g. replacing some rough sealant work around our windows and sink and tidying some rough decoration around the pipework for our radiators) have made a huge difference to the overall finish. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use their services again.
