Boiler service
The boiler service was carried out quickly and efficiently, as usual. There was no fuss and the kitchen was left clean afterwards. During this visit, I also asked the plumber about replacing my bathroom taps and he gave me some very helpful advice. I've been using Peter Brown Plumbers for about 20 years and have always had good service from them.

Under Stair Space Successfully Remodelled To Provide Toilet Room
We asked Peter Brown Plumbing And Heating to quote for the remodeling of an under utilised under-stair space into a room with an additional toilet in our old house. A realistic quotation was provided which we accepted.Work started on time and the involvement of the various necessary trades-plumbing,carpentry,plastering and electrical was well coordinated.The tradesmen themselves were highly capable helpful and courteous.Potential difficulties in connecting to existing services in confined spaces were overcome.Work was successfully completed on time and to budget. I strongly recommend Peter Brown Plumbing And Heating for work of this nature.

Response to my problem was veryimpresive and the work was carried out without any fuss. Had air locks in the toilet and no coild water in the basin.
I have used Peter Brown services for over 30 years and have always found them to be reliable ,efficent and trustworthy. Communication as to any promlem is discussed and agreed as to the best outcome. The people that are emloyed by the company are polite and know what they are doing. They arrive on time and are smart and polite in their appearance. I have no hesitation in recomending this company.

Maximum speed and minimum fuss
After a weekend without hot water, one plumber visited on the day I rang the company, to diagnose the fault. He returned to confirm the cost of replacement parts and that another plumber would come the following day to repair the immersion heater. Within 36 hours of calling the company we had hot water again. This is the third time that we have used this company and they have always impressed us with the quality and speed of service.

Competent plumbing but poor communications
I booked Peter Brown to replace a radiator thermostatic valve and to replace an under-bath shower pump. Peter Brown did not quote a price for the job, only an hourly rate. They took my credit card details before starting the work to ensure that they would get paid - I'm not enthusiastic about that, as you don't always know if the work will be up to standard. The plumber was efficient, tidy and avoided having to drain down the system. After he went I noticed on his handwritten invoice he had written, in relation to the new shower pump he had supplied, "no warranty as unable to install to MI". He did not explain this to me, and I emailed the company twice to ask for an explanation, particularly whether the failure to install to manufacturer's instructions could affect the performance of the pump. I still don't have an answer, and am therefore reducing my star rating for this company - and I don't think I would use it again.

THE WAY TO DO THINGS PROPERLY
Great service from Peter Brown Plumbing & Heating Ltd in Harrow & Wealdstone. Usual annual boiler service for our Worcester Bosch 4000 24 KW System unit. Reliable, Efficient, thorough check over lasting 45 minutes. Service engineer Alan never rushes the job, always arrives on time, and is very sociable & talkative. Work carried out at the agreed cost, with no issues at all. Have used this company for some 15 to 20 years now for all types of gas work, both repairs, servicing and new boiler / taps, etc installations.

64% more expensive than competition; Reluctant to fix incorrect installation
Overall Rating: 2 stars Work: Supply and install a WorcesterGreenstar 4000 30kW combi boiler at the exact same location as earlier model, and connecting to existing pipe work. Install a new horizontal flue with Plume Management Kit outside. 2 days labour work by 1 person, Benard Value: 1 star Peter Brown (PB) charges 25% markup on all material costs (plus 20% VAT). Peter Brown charged £3,238 excl VAT without optional extras. Via Worchester website the same boiler installation can be booked for the portion(!) of PB's price. Customer Care and communication: 1 star Peter refused to accept my concern regarding their incorrect installation of the plume management kit, and he was reluctant to correct it. I had to follow up with multiple emails asking him to correct the installation. When I asked for a detailed breakdown of costs including labour and material before the work has started he didn't reply for 3 days, and when he did respond, it was in a dismissive way saying that I have agreed and paid the deposit, and it does not make a difference what the breakdown is. Quality: 3.5 stars Water was dripping from the horizontal plume management extension kit as condensate was not flowing back to the boiler. There has been no obvious upward slope installed by PB.

Wonderful and honest advice
Peter installed my boiler 9 years ago. We contacted him to get a quote to fix our boiler after British Gas wanted to charge us a fortune to fix our boiler or install a new one. Peter advised us that our boiler should still be under guarantee and that we should go to the manufacturer to check. I did this and they have now fixed the boiler under the guarantee. Because of Peter’s honesty and helpfulness we have saved a sizeable amount of money and can enjoy the winter in a warm home. Peter advised us brilliantly when installing the boiler and again this week. We are very grateful and will be sure to contact them first in future.

Excellent service
We had read really good reviews of this company. We had a broken outdoor waste water pipe. The company said they were very busy and could not arrange an early appointment but because we were unable to use out bath they would bear us in mind if they had a cancellation. This what happened and the person who came replaced the broken pipe very quickly which meant we were only unable to use the bath for a very few days. We were very pleased.

Highly Professional Plumbers
Peter carried out a domestic boiler replacement for us plus general updating of the heating system. All work was completed in a very satisfactory manner. There was one delay due to old pipe work not giving adequate gas pressure and this involved Cadent being called into reposition the gas meter on to an outside wall. We were advised by Peter in advance that it could be an issue. PB were always extremely organised, professional and tidy when here. They and Cadent did everything they could to minimise disruption and alleviate cold conditions over a weekend. Peter Brown are excellent and strongly recommended

Installation of Bosch Worcester 4000 boiler
This is the second boiler that Peter Brown has installed for me. The first was installed in 2004 and has given stirling service. I decided to have a new boiler because I was told during the normal annual maintenance that the old one was beginning to develop small leaks. So far they had sealed themselves (it's a hard water area) but it was a sign of potential trouble to come. The new boiler was installed over two days (Oct 30-31) with corrosion inhibitor added on Nov 3rd. The rest of the central heating system was not affected. One man did the work and he was neat, efficient and friendly. The job was done on schedule and within budget. Peter Brown has been my plumber for 25 years now. He is not cheap but his men are highly efficient and I trust him.
