Detailed reviews

The installation is still not complete although they have taken £2500 off my 90 year old mum. They have only taken out a water tank, not turned up numerous times leaving her in waiting, can't get through to them on the phone, boiler should have been installed 2 weeks ago and still nothing. So far she's had no heating or hot water for 6 weeks. Totally disgusting with them.

It took 7weeks to repair a leak. Engineers did not turn up on 3 occasions. Arrived after 2100hrs did not gain access due to being in bed asleep twice. One engineer was so rude I have refused to let him in again. Even a manager made an appointment to meet with me over my complaint and never arrived. This company is very unprofessional, they cannot even ring to say that they would not be attending. having to take time off work and staying in all day waiting for someone to arrive is not a joke .but this company is a joke. There are definitely better company’s out there

Three appointments made with this company the first cancelled by them the day before the other two on the actual day. I have tried calling on numerous occasions get an answer machine saying leave a message and someone will call you back, they never have. Sent emails again with no reply. I have lost three days annual leave and will not waste anymore. Disgusting lack of customer service, not one call back or apology.

What to check before you hire

Worth checking yourself
Always confirm credentials and quotes with the business directly before hiring.
Verify at the sourceCheck them yourself

Gas work is restricted by law to Gas Safe registered engineers. If they'll touch a boiler or any gas appliance, confirm they're currently on the register before you hire - it's free and takes a minute.

Check the Gas Safe Register
By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register. Ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
For a boiler or appliance install, get the work and price in writing and keep the Gas Safe / Building Regulations certificate they are required to give you.
