We recently had Portland Plumbing Ltd completely redo our downstairs toilet and shower room, plus replacing a few other items around the house, and doing some repair work. Company boss, Jack, is very pleasant to deal with. He is friendly and polite, listened well to what we requested, and also made helpful suggestions. He has a good, skilled, and experienced team around him, who were also pleasant to have in the house doing the work. The work was completed on time and on budget. Would definitely recommend Portland Plumbing Ltd
Jack and his team completed two bathrooms for us. Jack takes complete ownership of his projects which provides confidence and reassurance. He is very responsive, keeps you duly informed and, has a solutions mindset which proved very helpful on a number of occasions. Jack also has a real eye for detail which we really valued; we are extremely pleased with the outcome of our bathrooms. Even after the job was finished we had an issue; Jack was very quick to respond and with the aid of a specialist (which Jack organised and oversaw) the problem was fixed.
Jack was recommended by a friend and has completed several repairs for us. His work is exemplary, his customer service is excellent and he offers great value for the work. We would thoroughly recommend Portland Plumbing
After reporting to Jack that I had smelt gas occasionally in my house, he immediately detected the leak by testing the meter outside. The gas was turned off and he informed me of two courses of action we could take to rectify the problem. The ground floor of my house has underfloor heating and large ceramic tiles. The leak could have been anywhere between the meter and the boiler involving the width of the entire house. An internal investigation would have been a massive upheaval. Jack reassured me that it would be much easier to take the gas from the meter to the boiler on the outside wall of the house by a new pipe. He knew I was worried about the aesthetics of this but spent time convincing me it would not be an eyesore. He came the next day with two other men and completed the job by 5pm. He even organised a painter to paint the copper pipe so it matched the existing pipes. There was hardly any mess and he and his men did an excellent job. I like his professionalism and his work ethic . You rarely find this today. His work is of the highest standard. He is respectful at all times and in what potentially could have been a stressful time for me gave me confidence in his ability to do the job and that the outcome would be fine.
We had our shower pump replaced. Plus approximately 3 years ago they replaced a radiator in my mothers kitchen and repaired a leak in a radiator upstairs in her house. We were very pleased with his work. His manner was exceptional. He was punctual clean and tidy and he answered all our questions. We are using him again as he is replacing a radiator for us imminently. I wouldn't hesitate recommending him to others.

Working with Jack to completely strip our and rebuild our bathroom was honestly such a great experience. He set us up with his design team, we looked over ideas and they came with concepts, and at every point, I felt I understood what was happening and what my options were. He took the time to discuss what would happen at each stage, and make recommendations where he had the expertise and experience to share. Jack's attention to detail is second to none, and I felt completely comfortable handing him the keys to my house whilst I went out the country so they could do the rip out. The works process was great, his whole team were so lovely, respectful of our space, and just brilliant workers.
Jack replaced an old cast-iron soil pipe from my bathroom The pipe was over one storey high. Jack's work was brilliant. He did it to time and budget and very neatly. He told me quickly that some brick had crumpled where the original pipe was. This was very helpful - I managed to get a bricklayer to fix this in a number of days.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Portland Plumbing, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Jack is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled but also very reliable. He arrived on time, communicated clearly about the work that needed to be done, and completed everything efficiently. What impressed me most was the attention to detail and the quality of the work. My plumbing issues were resolved quickly, and the area was left clean and tidy afterward. Having used Portland Plumbing twice before, and having been very satisfied with the quality of their work, I booked them again - for what seemed a straightforward bathroom replacement. It wasn't! It turned out to have a lot of hidden rot problems that only revealed themselves when the old tiles were removed, but Jack and his team were unfazed. With great goodwill and un-flagging humour they somehow persisted to finish the job, fitting us in whenever their other already-booked jobs allowed. A first class service, delivered by friendly, accommodating professionals.
