Can’t recommend Matthew enough! We needed help replacing all the ceiling lamps in our flat, and he did a fantastic job. Many of the LED lamps were quite fiddly but Matthew was efficient and clearly very competent. Super flexible and friendly as well, and he tidied-up everything before leaving. We will definitely call Matthew again for any future needs. Thank you so much again!

The work I needed involved a number of different elements but 'R1 Electrical Installations' were able to do each job carefully and professionally. The main work involved fitting new lights and power points for a workshop, they did this efficiently and made sure everything was safe. They also fitted some exterior lights to the house, one sourced by them and the other two I sourced (they came back to fit at a later date so I had time to source lights of my choice). All work was done perfectly.

R1 electrical installations fitted our EV charger with no problems at all. They were professional, polite and tidy. I would highly recommend them for EV charger installations or any other electrical work.

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
