Excellent bathroom renewal
Found Ralph through Trusted Traders, initially to survey the bathroom of a flat to purchase. Went on to use Ralph and his team to renew the bathroom from floor to ceiling. He's speedy and responsive to messages or emails, which makes planning and any questions or issues easy to sort. He was happy to work with various suppliers for the bathroom items. His work was excellent and thorough, while he had answers for any issues or niggles. Overall the work was very straightforward and satisfactory. We'd be happy to use him again and recommend to others.

Excellent Bathroom Renovation
Ralph and his team came recommended by my son's colleague. Ralph did an excellent job renovating a small bathroom, which now looks great. He is trustworthy, polite and knowledgeable, and does exactly what he says he will. Customer care is clearly very important to him, and the communications throughout the project was prompt and efficient. We will definitely be using Ralph again for other jobs and have already booked him in!

Such a relied to have found Ralph Foster
Substantial making good was required following a plumbing job. Ralph knocks spots off any Task Rabbit contractor. He is trustworthy, dependable and honest. He knew exactly what needed doing, without any input from me, and used his own initiative. He expertly boxed in some very messy pipework and, even though it is hidden in a cupboard, it is now quite a feature. The result is that the area of work, including a large hole win the wall., now looks better than it ever has. The work is neat, clean and tidy just perfect. The problem was expertly diagnosed and the repair went like clockwork. Highly recommended.

Plumbing, electrician and building jobs
I have employed Ralph for a few years now to replace a radiator, to fix another one, to repair a door or to put up a whole fence in my garden. And today, he came to install a dishwasher and and electric cooker. He always replies very quickly to my messages and arrives with his team to do the job in a very fast and efficient manner. Always very courteous, pleasant and honest, he explains the problems and leaves the place very tidy and clean. Moreover, he charges a very reasonable price for all the jobs he does. A real pleasure to rely on this very skilful, hardworking and efficient man! Congratulations to his team as well!

Maintenance and decorating work carried out in my house
Company Owner Ralph and his small team recently carried out different maintenance jobs in my house. They fitted a new outdoor light, repaired coving, plastered and decorated around it, repaired garden gate, cleared waste pipes under sink, inspected plumbing in the loft, and some other small jobs. All good and precise work, carried out promptly after I contacted Ralph. Charges were reasonable, and Ralph was honest also in the advice he gave. I would not hesitate to recommend RF Maintenance, and I intend to contact them again for future maintenance and decorating work around my house.

Ralph and his colleague have taken care of two small maintenance jobs at my property recently. They were small jobs but very important ones for me. Ralph responded swiftly. He and his colleague were both diligent and thorough in their work. It was a genuine pleasure dealing with Ralph. He’s clearly very experienced and knowledgeable across multiple areas of building work and property maintenance. My jobs involved a small piece of carpentry work and a visit to inspect a leak. I was especially impressed by Ralph on both occasions. He can be trusted to give very clear and honest advice which is an invaluable quality. Bathroom Renovation
We needed a bathroom renovation. We looked at the local recommended traders in Which and called RF Maintenance. Ralph visited within a couple of hours and provided an itemised quote later that day. One work started, the first task was to remove the old bath, which lead to the discovery that the existing plywood floor has decayed in places due to a leak from the bath. We expected a delay, but within the day Ralph and his team had removed and replaced the floor, and were still on track. The quality of work was excellent, and Ralph and his team also sorted out a few other things for us. They were friendly, professional and kept us informed at all times. We are planning some changes in the kitchen later this year and we will definitely use RF Maintenance again

Carpentry & DIY Tasks Carried Out
I contacted Ralph and his team to assist with creating a cover to box-in the pipes to the boiler in the family home. Additionally there was a floorboard that needed replacing and some other DIY tasks around the house that needed addressing. Ralph came physically to provide a quote and was very helpful, honest, and reasonable. He came and completed all the tasks required and was pleasant. There was a small glitch due to a slight miscommunication within the team regarding the boxed-in pipes, however it was very swiftly resolved and Ralph and his team came back with no issues which was very reassuring. The aftercare was good and his team were very friendly and helpful. We are happy with the work carried out and would recommend him to others.

Helpful and careful all-rounders
I needed a new ceiling lamp fitting where a fixture had been smashed; and I wanted help giving my washing machine a deep clean, ie pulling it out from the wall, turning off the water, etc. Ralph was thorough and helpful. I'd got the wrong bulbs for the new light which made it buzz; Ralph called their electrician to check what was going on, sourced new bulbs and made sure all was shipshape. With the washing machine, when he pulled it out from the wall he discovered the company who'd installed it for me (I'd got it from ao not long before, so be aware of this!) hadn't fixed the hose properly but merely gaffer-taped it and hadn't informed me. Ralph and his associate went to the plumbing shop to get the correct fitting to make sure it was set up correctly. Additionally, when I contacted them they came the next day; they were timely and prices are extremely fair. I'll definitely be using them again.

Plumbing excellence
When I phoned, he arranged only to look at the job, initially, but turned up fully equipped with tools and mate and changed the 30 year old leaking ballcock in the cold water tank that was situated in an extremely awkward place in the loft in record time, leaving me with the widest smile having been charged a very reasonable price. Very nice and friendly guy too. Definitely my trusted trader for plumbing jobs.

Accomplished all rounders
Ralph and his team have worked on my house on 2 occasions and all the work was carried out in a highly competent and timely manner. They installed an insulated dropped ceiling, boarded plastered and painted. The plastering itself is of an excellent quality. They repurposed a cupboard, readily accommodating to my request for specific material to be used. An understairs area has been insulated and boarded, creating a lovely new area. They have solved damp problems, plumbed in a washing machine which needed lots of new pipework, fitted curtain rails and safety handles. If a problem has arisen Ralph has solved it creatively cheerfully and successfully. The team have always given excellent value for money producing work of a high standard, while being generally helpful, friendly and good to have around. They are totally honest, punctual, reliable accomplished workers. Ralph is easy to discuss work with and produces videos of the progress if I am not around. I can thoroughly recommend them.

Emergency plumbing work
I had a blocked kitchen sink that kept refilling and then started leaking, Ralph came out on the same day and fixed it fairly quickly. Also put right a condensate pipe that was a bit leaky. Good price for the work too.

Assembling of bookcase
I purchased a 'Billy' bookcase from Ikea and sought a handyman to assemble it. I looked on Which's Trusted Trader and decided on RF Maintenance because it has the same first three digits of my postal code, so travelling time would be minimal. I agreed to the quote of £60. Ralph assembled the bookcase and affixed it to the wall. I had not mentioned two more jobs but he said he would attend to those. He put in two screws into a wobbly coffee table because those provided were not long enough. We had also purchased a fan but couldn't put it together and Ralph confirmed that there was a part missing. He didn't charge extra for these. I would use his services again and recommend him to others.

Great to have a local plumber.
Emailed Ralf at four, got a text back and booked them in for six thirty. Job fixed by seven pm. The problem was a leak from under the bath, a need to identify the source and to stop the bathroom getting wet. Turned out to be the overflow pipe, which these days just seems to be pushed on - so bound to happen some day. Just glad the bath was not tiled in. Punctual, friendly and great service. Will use again.
