Highlights

"I would thoroughly recommend Shaw plastering services. I needed my house rerendering and I read some recommendations online including Shaws. They attended promptly to give me a quote which was received quickly. The rendering on the side of my house was unsafe and couldn't be left over winter. To their credit they removed the loose rendering in December when it was snowing and absolutely freezing. In springtime they returned to carry out the new rendering and whilst doing so worked hardly and diligently. Throughout the process they kept me informed and kept disruption and mess to the minimum amount possible. The end result looks great, I have had a lot of compliments from people about how smart the rendering looks. More..."

"Having recently used Shaw Plastering Services for the rendering of my house I would highly recommend them. From the initial email / phone call enquiring about the work I needed doing their responses were quick and professional. They came out to the house to have a thorough inspection of the site and talk through the works I was looking for. They quoted me for removing the existing pebble dash and re rendering or leave the pebble dash and have an insulated render system. I went for the latter as the house has no cavity insulation. This meant there would be no surprises after the work had been priced and commenced. On the final visit before work commenced I changed the scope of the works by including some additional areas I needed rendering. The price for these extra works were agreed within a couple of days of the alterations being highlighted and before work started. As the final coloured top coat comes premixed in tubs from Germany we were given ample time to pick our preferred colour from the numerous colours on the colour swatch. We agreed on a start date for the scaffold to be erected followed a few days later by the actual rendering works. The scaffold and renderers turned up as agreed together with all the materials, including the top coat from Germany, which always gives you confidence. In the first week there was protection of of single storey extension and roof to the rear of the property followed by the repositioning of the Sky dish, soil pipes and rainwater pipes, and chipping away the pebble dash where required. Following these works the 90mm insulation boards were mechanically fixed to the walls which was louder than expected but is one of those things you have to accept. A week after fixing the wall insulation the over sills, trims and beading were fixed followed by the base coat for the render. This was applied very quickly followed by the silicone coloured top coat. The final few days were to reconnect the drainpipes, reinstall the sky dish and mastic arou"

"Really pleased with the work Shaw Plastering Services did for us recently when re-rendering our house - from quote to completion. Lee came round and talked us through the process and timescales (which his team stuck too) and dropped off colour charts a couple of weeks before work was due to happen. The team kept disruption and mess to a minimum when they were with us. In terms of the work itself we were really pleased with the quality of the finish and how the house now looks. Glad we went with SPS and I would recommend for future work. More..."

I had a house that needed some rendering doing on a kitchen extension and I spotted one of Shaw's vans nice and early on the M1, so I thought "good workers". I got a quote without even being there, so there was no pressure selling. The quote was acceptable and the qulaity of the render appeared to very good, so they got the job. They turned up on the agreed date (which I always think is a good start) and set to work. It took them a day to get it off and another day to put it back on. Very tidy, no mess. They even came back and fitted some bits for me. Very good job (all the neighbours have commented on it) and I will use them again 100%. More...
