Great workmanship

Fitted a wood-burning stove, replacing an open coal fire in a tenement flat. Work completed on schedule and budget. What made the trader stand out was their attention to detail and being very clean and careful with their work, keeping me informed throughout the process and problem-solving in action. Excellent workmanship and a pleasure to deal with this trader.

Fantastic, Trustworthy, Cost effective

So we had our woodburner put in by a 3rd party almost 3yrs ago...saw a cracked tile and tried to get them out...called 8x ...never got a reply..saw Stove Doctor on Instagram...bought and paid for parts online, unfortunately not them but blithfield sent wrong parts..but they came swept n cleaned stove..re arranged new installation of parts following month...Never knew at first it was a Family business...Julie runs emails...Josh has dine installation and cleaning ( 2x thank you Josh) Colin runs business.....reliable....price is the price ..no mucking about..cannot fault them in anyway compared to out last installer who promised the moon and delivered nothing....they will be back next year for a service ...niece putting in fireplace and will now not use our previous installer and will use them....a review may seem bull...but these guys are genuine and upfront...such a difference to deal with

Stove installation

We found Stove Doctor Ltd through Checkatrade, and from initial contact, they were so professional. Firstly, Colin came to the house to do a site survey and explain the process. Then he sent a scope of work and a pricing that aligned with his recommendations. We then arranged to go to the showroom to make sure we were happy with everything, and then paid a deposit to book an installation date. When the date arrived, the guys arrived on time and took care of everything. They covered everything in our living room so that nothing got dusty. The installation went perfectly, and the guys went above and beyond to fit a new skirting board for us that wasn’t in the plans, and the whole inglenook and stove looks great. Colin was really helpful and a very knowledgeable guy. There was no hard selling; he made sure we were comfortable with every decision made. A great company to work with.

Fantastic Service from a Great company

Excellent service from first contact, professional advice given during the survey. Showroom visit arranged at a time to suit. Installation was completed professionally and efficiently, with no mess left behind. Absolutely delighted with my log burner. Great company to deal with, thoroughly recommended.

Excellent service

Would highly recommend all the guys from Stove Doctor for all their hard work and the first class job installing our Log Burner, the installation went very smoothly without a hitch and all completed in a day with everything left tidy at the finish as well as giving us a really useful demonstration on the correct way to operate the stove. Also a big thank you to Colin for his advice at the showroom in helping us choose the best log burner for our home. It really sets off the room and we are looking forward to getting the full benefit when the cold weather arrives, we are so pleased with our new log burner and would definitely recommend Stove Doctor to anyone considering having a stove installed.

Stove Installation

Colin, Julie and the whole team were so professional from the first time of contact with the company to the completion date and aftercare. Colin was so knowledgeable and able to advise my husband and me of the most appropriate stove for the size of our living room. We were given time to choose in the showroom and Colin helped us with the other features to consider. The team worked exceptionally hard for a full day to complete the installation and left the room very tidy afterwards. I would highly recommend the Stove Doctor for anyone wishing to install a stove.

Superb stove installation. Very happy customer

I previously had a stove installed by another company and remain massively dissatisfied with the results. I opted to check Which? Trusted Traders after deciding to get a stove installed in a second room. I checked and noted Stove Doctor's listing and good reviews. I had used them previously for chimney sweeping services and this was performed to a high standard. Colin came and assessed the installation area. Due to the flue arrangement some modification of the chimney breast was required. He provided a quote a short time later which was reasonable. He showed flexibility in allowing us to use our own tiler and even more flexibility when our tiler hurt his back which delayed Colin in finishing the work. The multi-fuel cast iron stove Colin sourced is a high quality product and the installation even better. The joinery work, existing gas fire disconnection etc. was all carried out by Colin and his team. I am delighted with the look of the stove and its surround as well as the unbelievable heat generated. Following the installation he also recommended a log supplier who has proven cheaper than our previous one and allows the purchase of specific logs (oak is our preference). HETAS certification was also provided. Stove Doctor's payment system allows for payment by credit card for added peace of mind. To sum up, Stove Doctor is the real deal. They are a reliable, professional outfit and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to have a stove installed.

Amazing Job, immaculate finish, prompt and tidy

I cannot recommend this company enough. Colin created the finish that I had in mind. The room was left as they found it, the job was started and completed in one day. The finish is immaculate. I just love it. Great feature to my lounge.

All straightforward from start to finish

Unsure if I could have a woodburning stove as very small house and no chimney! Colin advised on suitable models and what the installation would involve: through living room ceiling, into bedroom above into loft and out of roof. This was a major investment and structural decision for me and I was apprehensive. All questions were promptly answered between booking and installation. On a rainy blustery day, Colin and the team arrived on time, covered everything to protect surfaces and completed the job. Friendly, helpful, reassuring and nothing a bother to them. Excellent in every way. Highly recommend.

Great company to deal with

I've found the stove doctor to be an excellent company to deal with. They set expectations regarding timing at the start, they provided good advice regarding choice of stove and on the day the team did the installation as planned, with minimal disruption to us and provided us with an overview of the stove and the relevant safety guidance. Speedily done

Had chimney swept and new cowl fitted, very hard to find a chimney sweep that actually went up on the roof, would not hesitate to recommend the Stove Doctor. They deserve 5 stars

Fantastic job

Due to COVID the delivery of our stove was delayed but we were kept totally updated and received a beautiful bouquet of flowers to thank us for our patience and understanding. The customer service was above and beyond. Colin and the boys operate like a very well oiled machine. They are super efficient and do a top quality job. We've already had many happy nights in front of our stove.

Highly recommend

Stove Doctor (Colin) was recommended to us from a third party. He came to our house to discuss and advise us on various Stoves, pricing time scale of installation etc. We knew after meeting with Colin that he was the person we wanted to install our Duplex Double Sided Stove. He was extremely informative very friendly and professional. Our installation Day was hassle free Colin and his Colleagues prepared the work area by covering our wooden floors and furniture etc I can honesty say we haven’t experienced such clean and tidy tradesmen until meeting the Stove Doctor. The aftercare has been very helpful Julie was easily contactable and nothing was a bother for her. We would highly recommend Stove Doctor we have already recommended them to our Family and Friends. We are delighted with our Stove. Thank you to Colin and both his Colleagues.

excellant service

Stove Doctor was recommended by family. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently. Everything in the home was well protected and tidied afterwards. There was good communication on the aftercare and maintenance and how to contact them if we had any concerns. They were always quick to answer any queries we had beforehand and would respond by email to any questions we asked. A well organised and friendly company who I would not hesitate to recommend to others all the paperwork was in good order and we are loving our new wood burner.

Excellent service & workmanship

Our first wood burning stove, it wasn't an easy decision for obvious reasons but Stove Doctor made it so simple. We just moved into a new house with new furniture etc. and the team were marvellous. Everything was so well protected, they cleaned up thoroughly as the work progressed and set everything up at the end. Our Stove Doctor experience was fantastic, I would highly recommend them, even down to the paperwork and certification process, seamless and well organised. All work carried out to a high standard, on time and on Budget an easy choice, they are extremely busy but well worth the wait.

Excellent from start to finish

Communication was excellent from the very beginning. The team could not have been more helpful. They took time to explain all my options and made sure I was happy with my final choice. Fantastic experience with The Stove Doctor

We had a multi-fuel stove installed in our farm shop cafe by Colin, Stove Doctor last month. He was extremely helpful during all aspects of the planning and installation of the stove - taking our ideas and advising on the best options. As it is a commercial property, he also advised on practical and safety elements. Colin not only installed the stove, flue etc but also built a plinth with log store below - we are delighted with the end result. Colin and his team were prompt, efficient and very tidy - we actually had the stove installed on a day we were open (as we open 7 days), and there was no disturbance to our customers - the whole process was painless and the team cleared up after themselves. I would highly recommend Stove Doctor for domestic but also commercial installations - his qualifications, adherence to government guidelines on stove installation, and HETAS registration are reassuring when it comes to selecting the best person for the job.

Excellent service from start-to-finish

A very professional installation, We couldn't be happier with the completed work. Arrived exactly on time, all workmen where personable and friendly, very tidy both in terms of keeping the job site clean and also making sure the finished work is to a very high standard. Professional from start to finish
