Highlights

The guys did a great job. They are reliable, punctual, hardworking and tidy. We went away whilst they did the work, as it is such a messy job to get done, Paul met us on the Monday morning and kept us updated with calls and pictures of the job each day. Naturally dust resettled, but we could see how hard they had worked to clean up. I would definitely recommend the guys!

Michael O3.7 / 5 ·

Overall a good experience. The team were professional, friendly, and communicated well throughout. The main work, including opening the wall and installing the doors, was completed to a good standard and the site was kept tidy. Some final finishing details felt a bit rushed, particularly around the floor threshold, but the team have been responsive in addressing this. Overall, a reliable service with solid workmanship.

I would recommend Somnium. Very helpful initial contact. We needed structural work doing to attain building regs, and they guided us through the process. Great communication throughout the job. Very pleased with quality of workmanship. Just let down by plasters not covering floor prior to work. Everything else great.

Never pay a large deposit up front. Agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow. Both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
