The work involved some planting to hide a broken concrete upstand and clearing our pond which was choked with plants. Neil came quickly to discuss our needs and was helpful in suggesting alternative plants when we werent keen on the first suggestions. The work was done well and everything was left clean and tidy. I would be happy to use the company again.

We needed to have a mature beech tree cut down and removed because it was too close to the rear wall of our house. There was a problem with access, as we have side alley or direct through-way to the street except via the house. Neil and his team did an amazing job. They took down the tree and removed every last trace of it within two hours, and they left everything so clean and tidy behind themselves we could hardly believe it. In addition to that, the members of the team were friendly, approachable and considerate throughout. Really, we don't have words - except for amazing!

Having not had time during the year to keep the garden under control, the team did a great job tidying the shrubs and clearing the borders. The garden looked so much wider, with the side path now visible and a whole lot tidier. The team of two did an amazing job. One of their team had not come in that day but they came back two days later to finish off. The were very professional and cleared everything away and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Just a brief note to express my delight with my new fence! The workmanship is excellent, the team that completed the job were most professional and the price very competitive. We contacted the English Garden Company (also operate as the English Tree Company) about a tree that was at risk of coming down following the recent storms. We received a quote and were booked in very promptly and a team arrived on a Saturday morning to complete the work. The work was done very quickly and to a high standard. They were very conscientious and tried to avoid making any mess where they had to pass through our utility room and checked with us to make sure we were happy with the completed work before filling in the hole the stump had been in. In addition to the work we'd hired them for, they noticed that a fence panel that had fallen down needed to be put back in place and did this as well which was greatly appreciated. Would happily use the English Garden Company again.

Have used The English Garden company several times eg work tree surgery. Yesterday they did a major garden pruning for us and the garden looks still great but twice the size with all the stuff gone that didn’t add any value. the two gardeners worked solidly for 8 hours easily, but were extremely pleasant and tidied up beautifully after they finished. Cannot recommend highly enough. They are very popular in the local area and rightly so. And they are not as expensive as you might imagine in fact I think they are very reasonably priced and good value. Before doing the work they came to discuss my needs, wrote up a plan and then did exactly what was agreed. Delighted 😀

The English Garden Company quoted a reasonable price to remove a tall tree from our front garden which had been causing us concern due to its size. The team arrived on time, were efficient in cutting down the tree in stages . They did not cause any damage to surrounding plants or fences and paving. they were very personable and cleared up all the branches, trunk sawdust etc and took them away. The job was neat and was done quickly. I recommend this company.

I highly recommend The English Garden Company: from Keirsa in the office who was extremely friendly and helpful, to Paul who came out to quote, gave excellent advice and then carried out the work to the highest standard. I am so pleased with the results of my garden makeover and I now intend to use the company to redesign my front garden later in the year. I cannot recommend The English Garden Company highly enough. Everything they did was to the highest standard. They are super efficient and professional and over nice guys too. Thanks to them, our garden now looks stunning.

All dealings were very pleasant and professional: my initial telephone call and later telephone and e-mail contacts with Kiersa Cunningham and Jean Colbourne in the office; the inspection visit & quote from Neil Fletcher; and dealings on the day with Paul and Roo. Paul and Roo, arrived promptly and were very considerate as regards causing the minimum of disturbance in regard to parking, access and loading. My initial request, on which the quotation was based, was for the removal of four branches. After they had swiftly and efficiently removed three of the relevant branches they asked to speak to me. They pointed out that, whilst totally willing to proceed with the removal of the fourth branch, if I insisted on this, they would both strongly advise against it, both for the good of the tree and for my own longer term aims, as removal of the fourth branch would unbalance the appearance of the tree and lead more swiftly to the decay of a fifth branch, which I wanted to preserve. After a pleasant and, on their part, clearly well-informed discussion, I was convinced to follow their advice. I was impressed that they put the long-term good of the tree, and my ultimate aims, ahead of small, short-term financial considerations. They then proceeded to remove everything carefully and efficiently, leaving the area neat and tidy. I had gone to this firm because they had done a good job on another tree some ten years ago.

I would highly recommend The English Garden Company. My garden was overhung with neighbouring holly trees and fir trees creating a large canopy of shade in my garden. My fences and back gate were also in a very poor state. I called The EGC and spoke with the very friendly Kiersa who arranged for Neil to visit and assess the trees and for Savin who came to look at the fences and gate. Upon receiving the quotes for the work needed, I contacted Kiersa who arranged the dates for the work to be carried out. I thought that it would take a whole week at least to clear the trees etc let alone taking away the old dilapidated fence and gate and replacing it with the new one. To my absolute delight and amazement, the trees and overhung foliage was cut back and cleared away in half a day. The guys cleared up so well that you wouldn’t have known that they had worked so hard to clear away so much. The same applies to the fencing and new gate. Savin and his team did an amazing job and worked nonstop to get the new fences and gate completed in just one 1day! The whole team were very friendly and knowledgeable and the customer service was just fantastic. Thank you all at The English Garden Company.

We hired the ETC to sort out overgrown trees. Great job -fantastic communications from start to finish - and great clear up afterwards. The workmen were professional and really friendly. Highly recommend.

I had no idea really what a makeover for the garden would entail. Now I do. When I contacted the Company they explained options, were friendly, clear and communicated promptly. I had a consultation with Neil who patiently spent time looking carefully round the garden, commenting and advising and listening to me. The proposal that I received accurately mirrored our meeting. I cannot recommend the English Garden Company highly enough. They have transformed what I thought was in fairly decent shape and turned it into a lovely garden front and back. Steven and Alfie were professional, friendly and worked solidly through the day. They cleared up after themselves and left everything neat and tidy when they left.

Neil (head gardener) gave me invaluable advice when I started my garden project (get a designer to achieve a very special garden, thank you, Annabelle). Throughout the process, Neil and his admin team (Harriet and Keirsa) were fabulous support. The hard landscapers, Andrew, Martin, Mark, and Vasyl were consummate professionals - Polite, very tidy, friendly and SO hard working. The quality of the work is second to none. And I have a garden that was once derelict and is now a delight. I cannot recommend this company enough and I would suggest achieving your dream garden, chose them!
