Kerry was able to give us some options. We made some changes part way through the job , Kerry and Phil were able to adapt and incorporate our new requirements. He was doing a drive opposite where I live he was billiant And I thought at the time when I have my drive done this is the company I would go to and I have. Despite challenging conditions worked through and did a first class job on time this is the second job he has done for us and would unreservedly recommend him
This company originally done my block paving twenty two years ago. We had a small garden done. I wanted this removed, they came back and sorted it out. They replaced the garden with new block paving. No fuss and all done very quickly. We have never had a problem with our original block paving that is why we went back to them. Thank you. Rosemary and Colin
This is the third patio Kerry and his team have done for us and as usual a professional and high end service from start to finish, the job meant a lot of waste removal and new retaining wall and then a new courtyard and patio all finished off with new turf. The end result is fantastic with real attention to detail and really sets the garden off, I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else
An excellent job laying a new patio and path to link with an existing one. Kerry sourced the Indian sandstone slabs to match existing and offered valuable advice and ideas based on his experience without being pushy. They arrived promptly each day, were professional in approach and the work was completed on time. A neighbour commented on the respect they showed to pedestrians using the footpath when moving materials. I am delighted with the finished job and would highly recommend. It was money well spent.
This is the second time we have used the Essex Paving Co and have been equally impressed on both occasions. Kerry is a true master of his trade, and has left us with an amazing driving and garden patio, which is often complimented by neighbours, friends and family. Great professional finish, very tidy throughout the work and Kerry offers friendly advice / suggestions on designs, based on a wealth of experience, which really pays off. Would highly recommend.

Our Jan 2025 project with Paving Co involved removing acco drains and a raised flower bed, replacing them with block paving. We were initially pleased with the quote and comms. However, shortly after completion, the paving began to sink and become uneven. We strictly followed their initial instruction not to drive on it for a week, despite Paving Co's subsequent refusal to believe we did not adhere to this. They returned to lift/relay the affected areas, then instructed us not to drive on it for a full month, which we again diligently followed. Yet, the sinking continued. A final sanding visit and our monthly sanding efforts, as requested, have proven ineffective. This work is clearly not fit for purpose, especially as our original driveway had no such issues. Paving Co now refuses to return. This entire situation has been a profoundly unsatisfactory experience.

"In January 2025, we extended your driveway by removing a flowerbed and installing block paving. During this process, we carefully repositioned the existing stopcock lid onto a new sand and cement base. When we were later informed that the blocks and cover had moved, we returned immediately. Upon arrival, it was confirmed by one of the customers that someone had driven on the driveway before the materials had fully set, despite our specific advice to allow drying time. We have completed two separate repairs to this area at no cost. Our refusal to return for a third time is because we firmly believe the issue stems from an external factor. We suspect the ongoing problem relates to the stopcock mechanism itself—something that was not visible while buried in the original flowerbed. We recommend having a specialist investigate. With over 25 years of dedicated service and outstanding reviews, we remain committed to high-quality workmanship, but we must also ensure our resources are used

Kerry and The Paving Company exceeded my expectations. Kerry and his team were polite and courteous. He did everything just as we had asked and to a very high standard. The team arrived on time every day and didn't stop until the job was completed to our satisfaction. The price quoted was very reasonable and a good deal. We are very happy customers and will use this company again. We can recommend them.
Very happy with our new driveway which was completed in 8 days. They started at 7am and explained what they would be doing the day before or on the day. Great communication. Would happily recommend.
From our first contact, Kerry was polite and very helpful. He showed up the next day and gave us a competitive quote on the spot. After that Kerry and the team agreed a start date and were reliable, punctual and worked incredibly hard. The result is a super driveway which we are very pleased with. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Paving Company and will look forward to welcoming them back for future work.
Had Shed base, Seating area, Patio and Driveway done By Kerry and his team. 11 days in all, even with delays because of delivery and shocking access for the mini digger. They were courteous, hard working and started at 7 each morning! Competitive price also. Good history at Companies House. Happy to give home address and introduction to previous clients. Would definitely recommend.
