Gas Boiler replacement - Excellent
I had two gas boilers for over 20 years that needed replacing. The company, Total Home Solutions from Smith and Byford Group, has been giving me the maintenance services on my heating system for more than 10 years. I decided to replace the old gas boilers and asked the Total Home Solutions for the advices and quote. They recommended one big gas boiler to replace my two old ones. There was a lot of work involving the pipes rearrangement and leaked pipes replacements. All the engineers were friendly, professional, efficient and tidy. I am very satisfied with the outcome. I would highly recommend this company.

New Condensing Combi-Boiler System
Total Home Solutions [THS] were employed to replace an old (23 years) non-condensing boiler system at my daughter’s house, which was inefficient and past repair, with a new combi boiler system. This removed the need for both a hot water cylinder and a water storage tank and freed up valuable bedroom space. THS delivered what I feel was an exceptional service, maintaining clear communications throughout from initial contact through survey, quotation, installation, and post-completion QA check. I would thoroughly recommend THS, who are friendly, engaging, reliable and competitive.

New Boiler , No Problem.
Although we had our existing gas boiler serviced by THS every year, it was showing signs of ageing and we thought we would replace it sooner rather than wait for it to expire. THS came and did a survey and pointed out a couple of bits of pipework in the boiler cupboard that also need attention. We thought the price for the total job was very fair and included an upgrade to a Hive unit so we could join the 21st century! We also took advantage of an interest-free finance offer. The whole replacement took James less than a whole day , and both him and the electrician who did the wiring were excellent. Very pleasant and did a first-class job. We're delighted with the new boiler, it's very quiet and efficient and would recommend Total Home Solutions totally !

Outstanding Workmanship
Had an old boiler with obsolete parts, so decided on a new boiler. A survey visited and advised what was suitable for the size of house, quote received within 2 days in writing which we agreed and date for installation arranged. All staff from office to engineer have been very professional, friendly and were respectful of our home, clean and tidy. Would have no hesitation in recommending them. Invoice received and even have someone who pays a last visit for Q and A's ensure we are happy with the service. Very Happy

Smth & Byford Fantastic service
I would recommend this company to anyone who requires a professional reliable plumbing service. I walked into their shop/office in Cheam village distressed as my toilet was not flushing properly and sometimes would not flush at all! They immediately helped by arranging for a plumber to attend the next day and fix whatever to problem turned out to be. He did - he had to buy some parts - but returned promptly and fixed it. It was not an easy job as the system is built in and he had to work through a six inch gap. So if you want a plumber who is reliable, skilled and professional this is the company for you.

New boiler and rads
Contacted Total Home Solutions after a disappointing experience with another potential installer. From start to finish Total Home Solutions handled the choice of the new boiler and thereafter supplying and fitting together with new radiators plus removal of a water tank all with excellent quality and attention and good communication from Emma and her colleagues.

Great Service
Great Service from start to finish. Friendly and helpful team who arranged for an engineer to attend the following day. The engineer was extremely polite and knowledgeable. Thank you for the peace of mind all round. Highly recommended.

New Boiler installation
Right from the beginning everyone was very kind and helpful. It took 2 days to do the cleaning process and installation and I was kept informed of progress all the time. Also most things (eg hot water) continued to work during the installation. I have been delighted by the result of your work and thank everyone involved.

Above and beyond
I have been a customer for many years and cannot praise this company enough. Emma, Del, Andy , Dee, Jason and all have become the 3rd emergency service for us! This time we desperately needed help to replace our daughter’s boiler asap, due to imminent house move, even though she was not a customer, they did the job within four days, with special thanks to Del for getting the hot water to work for those few days. Honestly can’t thank them enough for their understanding and help, would recommend them to anybody.

ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE FROM BEGINNING TO END
I made a random telephone call to Smith and Byford when we needed a new boiler, having seen their vans in our area. I spoke to Dee and from my initial enquiry there was no going back; she was so helpful and reassuring, as was Emma who organized our installation. The surveyor, Derek, and the engineers, Andy and Bryn, who carried out the work on our boiler replacement and heating overhaul were all extremely professional, so nice to have in the house and produced a result with which we could not be more happy. From a random call we have found a company with whom we hope to have an on-going working/service relationship; they are excellent.

Second Replacement Boiler
After having had work done by Total home Solutions in replacing my house boiler, I had to use them again to replace my other boiler especially after they did such a great job with the previous installation. They replaced my second boiler and again they were very professional and efficient and were very tidy. I would highly recommend them.

Installation of a new boiler
We have used Smith and Byford for a number of years and the whole experience has been exceptional with this company. The admin staff Emma, Dee and the others are responsive understand the problems and are quick to sort resolutions. We had a problem with our existing boiler, the engineer Will was quick to diagnose. He had the patience to try everything before finally diagnosing the need for a new boiler. Smith and Byford were extremely quick to supply and fit a new boiler, their teams contacted us to ensure everything was working as expected, Andy and Brin two very competent engineers, polite and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend this company, it’s like going back to old values in that they value you as customers and go out of their way to provide an overall excellent service.

Friendly and efficient
After a few years years of annual boiler checks I asked Smith and Byford to install my new boiler. It all took place with minimum disruption and I am very pleased with it. It should save me money with a more efficient boiler and some adjustments to positioning will help with future checks. Everybody is friendly.

I have had a contract with Smith and Byford for many years and always been happy with the service. When it came to needing to replace my boiler I didn’t even consider going with anyone else. They provided an excellent service from the moment the surveyor came to my home to ensure I was getting the correct product right through to the installation and QC on completion. Replacement of Bathroom Radiator
I have been a customer of Total Home Solutions for a number of years now and have always been impressed with the professionalism of both their Administration Team and Engineers. Today Jason replaced a bathroom radiator. He called ahead to announce his arrival and arrived within the agreed timeslot. He carried out the replacement efficiently and diligently, taking care of the surrounding fixtures and completing the job perfectly. The invoice is as agreed. Installation of new boiler.
Both engineers - Andy & Bren - arrived on time and as a team worked well together. They were very efficient and virtually worked all day without a break.Explained the workings of the new boiler and left the place tidy and clean after they had finished. I would not hesitate to recommend Smith & Byford as I have used them for the past 15 years.

Installation of wiring for electric cooker, plus purchase and installation of appliance
We were very pleased with the work carried out, in one day and at the price agreed upon. The two electricians were hard-working, polite and careful, including clearing up afterwards. In addition, our advisor in the office (Dee) was helpful in co-ordinating the various parts of the job, so that it could all be carried out on one day. She also obtained answers to all our questions before work commenced. Would certainly recommend this firm for similar work.
