The porticos, in that style, are made up of a frame with multiple layers of wood profiles, topped by a small lead covered roof which had deteriorated, allowing rain water to cause rot. I needed a builder who could do all the work - new lead, new woodwork and repainting. I tried several tradesmen, who were not keen to take on the job; one actually said that it was too difficult. Luckily I found Steven Williams who has done everything required, while hampered by awful weather, to a very high standard"

My home is one of a terrace of mock Georgian houses.
