A dissolved company no longer legally exists. Liquidation and proposed strike-off are separate warning statuses, and old listings can linger through any of these changes. These are aggregate counts from the official company register (never a named firm); a status can lag reality, and any business can correct its information. Before you hire, check the exact firm that quoted you.

Method
Counts trade businesses in the the United Kingdom directory whose public company-register status is dissolved, liquidated or struck-off, by the area on their listing. Aggregate counts only, never a named firm, with the same publication floors as our local research, so a small number can never identify a business. A register status can lag reality; always confirm on the official record and give the business a chance to correct it.
