We've begun tracking, by area, the number of trade businesses carrying a dissolved, liquidated or struck-off company-register status. The baseline was set on 2026-07-04: 392 across the areas we track. Week-over-week changes appear here from the next update. Aggregate counts only, never a named firm.

Method
Each update counts, by area, publicly listed trade businesses whose company-register status is dissolved, liquidated or struck-off, and compares it with the previous update. Aggregate counts only, with the same publication floors as our local research. A register status can lag reality and any business can correct its information. If the set of areas changes, we say so, so a data gap never reads as a wave of closures.
