Highlights

This is the fifth time we have had Andy round doing work for us. Over that time he has supported us in firstly making our home safe, then improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our lighting systems. He’s now moved on to helping us install the fittings that will transform our home. The care Andy takes is all you could wish for and the quality of the work, including making good, is of the highest standard. Andy cares about what we’re trying to achieve with our home and he does everything he can to help us. We could not be happier with the work Andy has completed.

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

Thoroughly professional job and Andy went to great trouble to keep us informed.

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

This is the 4th visit from Andy to help us sort out, make safe and enhance the electrical circuits and fittings in our new home. Andy has detected and rectified a catalogue of defects and has turned out unsafe house into a safe home. More than that he’s improved the lighting throughout a lot of the house, and we’re just delighted by what he’s done. It’s clear Andy treats each job as if he was doing it in his own home. He never leaves any mess and to top it off he’s really nice man to have working in your home. Faultless.

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
