A1 Services replaced our shower, which had stopped providing us with hot water The shower was examined prior to being replaced to ensure that replacement rather than repair was what was required, which my husband and I were happy with. The plumber who replaced the shower was efficient, polite, and knowledgeable about his job. Nothing went wrong, and the new shower is working well We would happily choose A1 plumbers again if needed in the future.

A1 replaced our gas back boiler with a condensing boiler five years ago. We chose them because they took great care working out a practical solution for how to run the pipework to a new location upstairs with minimum disruption. The job was done very professionally and we have also used them for our annual boiler service ever since. They are always friendly, punctual, competent and efficient, and I would say the service is a very reasonable price. I am happy to recommend them.

Fairly expensive, but I knew of the firm by reputation. Did a major boiler and system upgrade/update at fairly short notice after my boiler had been condemned (at no notice) by BGas. They did exactly what they said they would - and we couldn't have had a more helpful (and pretty tidy on a difficult 8-day job) fitter and apprentice. Inevitably fairly expensive - but there was a lot that needed doing. I have just received my bill - and find that there is a small reduction for work that I didn't need to have done! I have no hesitation in recommending.

We rang to say what we wanted done, including the simple removal of a water heater which took about 20 minutes and the replacement of washers on four taps. The perfectly polite plumber came at the appointed time, did remove the water heater, then spent approx another 20 minutes looking at the radiators in the house because two of them were not heating up properly and advised us on the possible course to take. Very surprisingly, he did not have washers for the taps in his van, so took pictures of the taps and said he’d have to come back. So he came again a few days later. He replaced the washers but one of the taps drips more than before and makes a grinding sound when turned off. The entire time spent cannot have been more than half an hour at the most. When we asked him how much he thought the job might cost, he said that he had no idea because the office dealt with that side of things. Should we have taken this as a warning sign that the cost might be unreasonably high? The total bill was for £198. Reasonable?

Fair quote for new boiler, quick start and reliable and on time very tidy. Happy with the work and aftercare.
