Failed to turn up the first morning, then man arrived at 7.30am rather than 8.00 the second day. Took 5 minutes to pack the stop cock, told me that it would save me a lot of money rather than a replacement as he sprinted for the door. The price was for the first hour and did not include VAT. I was given a small reduction. The tap is no longer dripping.

We needed to replace a gas back boiler and upgrade our system, which required relocating the boiler to the other side of the house A1 gave us the most practical option of any quote . The workmanship was superb, the fitter well presented and very competent . A very neat tidy job was completed in four days as proposed and as quoted .There was no mess to clean up afterwards. I can find no fault with the company or the staff. I throughly recommend them

We rang to say what we wanted done, including the simple removal of a water heater which took about 20 minutes and the replacement of washers on four taps. The perfectly polite plumber came at the appointed time, did remove the water heater, then spent approx another 20 minutes looking at the radiators in the house because two of them were not heating up properly and advised us on the possible course to take. Very surprisingly, he did not have washers for the taps in his van, so took pictures of the taps and said he’d have to come back. So he came again a few days later. He replaced the washers but one of the taps drips more than before and makes a grinding sound when turned off. The entire time spent cannot have been more than half an hour at the most. When we asked him how much he thought the job might cost, he said that he had no idea because the office dealt with that side of things. Should we have taken this as a warning sign that the cost might be unreasonably high? The total bill was for £198. Reasonable?
